With the new side lever the vulcan in 0.25 is looking interesting!
My question is has the hammer slap issue from earlier models been sorted?
Is the 0.25 backyard friendly without additional moderators?

My .25 is pretty quiet. The “quietness” of these guns, especially the .25 caliber and larger are largely dependent on what the pellet impacts. The standard Vulcan shot in my back yard is quieter than the impact of the pellet. I did add one of DonnyFl’s LDC to mine to make it even quieter, but that big ol’ .25 caliber pellet makes some rackit when it hits! And shooting it into water or similar, the pellet impact sounds like someone slapping the water with a boat paddle! That sucker is LOUD! As far as the gun goes, the loudest sound it makes is the hammer slapping the firing valve, and there’s no moderator gonna “fix” that. :8:
Good luck with a .25 being backyard friendly. Or maybe we have different opinions of what that means. I do however agree with you, the Vulcan finally looks interesting enough to consider. Never cared for it much, was just interested in what it could do at 100 but now? I want someone to compare it to the Mutant when it comes out in .25

So if fired into the sky, you would say it is not that loud? I Will get a .25 either Vulcan it Mutant, they key parts of that decision is 1. Loudness without shroud (I have Donny LdC but want to know without) 2. Shot count
