I tried to register EdgunUSA.com more than a year ago, and was annoyed to find out that it had already been registered.

Different countries, different legislation, different cultures I guess…… 😉
In my country nobody can register a domain name including a well established company name/brand name unless they prove their affiliation to that company. Usually by written confirmation from the company owner/CEO/president. A brandname is considered the intellectual property of the company….
“Generic words and phrases” is a different matter, – and of course there are grey areas which make lawyers rich and courts and judges scratching their heads……..
In the “EdgunUSA.com” case, – there would not have been any doubts…. 😉
But that’s on this side of the pond……..

But, I have learned that the domain is owned by an airgun shop/dealer. I’m sure he has his reasons for owning it, and I’m not bitter in any way (no bullshit, I’m cool). I think that GoDaddy simply puts a price on it so they can have the potential to broker a deal and take their cut.
I’m still unclear as to why the domain points to Mitt, but that is not a priority. I just found it humorous re: the aggressiveness of politics. All this money being spent on the 10% of the population who have not made up their mind yet. 😉
Anyway, I’m just fine with TedsHoldOver.com. To be honest, it would probably be in my best interest to separate myself directly from the Edgun name (so people would stop asking me if I sell the gun, and because I don’t shoot only Edguns). In hindsight, using the name “EdgunUSA” was an error. But, it all started with a few “how to” videos so you guys could get a better look at that bullpup. So, if you trace back the causes….this was all your fault anyway. 😉
