well time for a glock…..
ok my most recent gun purchase was the .22 condor and my rule is i buy a air rifle i then buy a powder burning gun next… and next on my list is a gun from the glock family… i just wanted to hear u guys oppinions on the glocks… wat is u guys favorite one like caliber and there compact, sucompact, or regular… im looking for one that is good to shoot for a long day at the range… but i dont want the extreme speed and penetration of the 9mm so a slower moving round is my way to go… this will be my first pistol to add to my collection and i cant wait to get one,,,, opinions would be appriciated… thanks…

I own the Glock 35 full size 40 cal and the Glock 20 in 10mm. I’ve also shot the famous Glock 22 and love it. I too have long fingers and i prefer the size of the glocks grip to other guns. The glock 21 is also another accurate, fun gun that i would own. But i have a SA 45 ACp and just don’t need another 45..period…lol. Just remember that the Glock 21 has a very thick grip.
The 40 and 45 rounds rule. But if you like big and slow, the 45 ACP is a friggen winner in any way shape or form.
yes i have heard good things about a glocks reliablity and accuracy..hmmm… that is why glocks appeal to me and not mention theres just somthing about the look of a glock i cant get past, yet i cant quite call it out… rite now its mainly the .45 glock and the 9mm glock im considering.. cant decide… 😕 😕
Glock reliability and accuracy. That’s why you buy a glock and learn how to use it effectively. I love that it is the only pistol that still functions even when it breaks. There is the little spring that can break, but if you hold the trigger all the way back, the trigger mechanism will reset as the slide goes back into battery. Just too cool. 😀
The glock doesn’t feel the best in my hand, but I got past that. The P-35 Browning High Power and the Sig 226, the 1911…those feel good to me, but it’s a Glock 23 that I keep close at hand. Guns are like shoes, try on as many as you can. Buy what works for you is always sound advice.
lol look wat i just found
this guy is super retarded…
oh…. that ammo is exspensive… i could easily spend more than like 200bucks a day at the range thats a little pricey for me… but hey its not as exspensive to feed as my type 99 arisaka that thing is like 4 bucks a bullet so high prices thus why i only shoot it a few times a year…. yeah i really wouldnt call that a pistol round anymore its like a mix of rifle and pistol… but yes i will hopefully be able to shhot the different glocks sometime soon and find one i like and ill also try the 1911 since people seem to like it to… allthough i do like how the glock is extremely reliable and interchangeable with different parts… hmmmm
That FN 5.7 is the cartridge used by that bastard Major Nidal Hasan in the Ft. Hood massacre. Obviously it is a very effective round. It is also known as a “cop killer” round due to its ability to penetrate a type IIIA bullet resistant vest.
FN 57 your right…
Nothing bad (I don’t think) its a shortened rifle cartridge (223/5.56) with a bigger neck and it’s extremely expensive to feed. 😉 But a very cool and accurate pistol round (if you can call it that).
Here is the ammo… From Wiki

I use the 21 23 , But try shooting different models to see what you like best. What matters in the end is what works best for you. I love 1911’s give them a try see if they work for you.
I like glocks bc of their high magazine capacity. You can also add two extra rounds to your magazine with an extension they sell. And You can use the magazine from a glock 22 on the 23. Same caliber just different size.
i cant find a fn557 but i found a fn 5-7 im asuming thats wat u meen… why is it infamous for something bad or something?? lol but ill probally try to shoot a glock before i buy one to be able to make a good decision… have u seen that guy on youtube hickok45 he has so many glocks and tons of other guns to… but major reviewer… i just found him while searching for the fn557 thing…
Cole, try a few different types if you haven’t already. I always wanted a 1911a but once I picked it up and aimed it at the target it was not what felt best. The second I picked up a Glock and pointed it downrange I knew it was THE pistol for me.
That being said, I have big hands and like the full size Glocks the most. The compact models are just too small and my ring and pinky fingers have no where to go.
I’m partial to Glocks but always recommend that people get the most comfortable for them pistol. It also helps with being able to naturally aim the pistol once it’s raised to the target. Many folks feel like they have to lower the muzzle of the Glock to get it on target after they point it. For me it just lines up perfectly. The 1911 requires me to lift the muzzle to get it on target.
Best part is I can’t decide which caliber I like the best. Each one has it’s pluses and minuses. The 40cal which is supposed to be the most accurate is expensive to feed. The 9 and the 45 are in the big vs. small, underpen vs. overpen argument as usual but both are relatively easy to feed with off the shelf ammo.
If you want to go big get the FN557 pistol… 😆
hmmm well i already own a .22 short rifle and a .22 long rifle…. i was mainly looking for a pistol cause ive got enough rifles (exp: sks,ak-47, two .22’s, 30-06 lever action, mosin nagant, type 99 arisaka, .22:12guage hornet, and a 18 guage shotgun.) so i am trying to get my first pistol and ive heard glocks are great guns, but idk which one to choose so many options… i like that the .45 hits hard but moves slower and it isnt that bad on recoil although the 9mm ammo is cheaper… hmmm i mite even consider a full auto glock although they seem like they would be hard to keep on target… i will have to think about this some more… so in ur experience wat glock is more accurate and how do u buy one with double recoil springs?? thanks…
my first glock was the 17 (9mm) a fine gun, i could shoot it all day
i had the opportunity of shooting a one of the small .45acp with double recoil spring, small frame….i thought it was gonna be harsh and hellish, but found the recoil soft and nice ! who would have guessed ? i also had a chance to shoot the .40 which is supposed to be very harsh…i didnt not find it so…maybe because im a newbie i didnt feel the nuances that much….or maybe the .40 ammo i was shooting was soft loads i dont know…all i knw is that it wasnt bad at all
9mm ammo is cheap ! for target is good…self defence you ca find some very nasty projectiles with prestressed grooves that will open up and tear a nasty wound channel, but you can get those same bullets for the 45 which would be even nastier…but someone once told me….”dead is dead” wether .22lr to the head or a .50 to the head you’d be dead with both
actually if you ask ER personell then they will say they hate .22lr ….apparently when you shoot humans (or other stuff) with the .22lr bullet it tends to tumble and tear, often ending up far from where it entered and in a totally different direction…..where as the heavier say 9mm stays on track and flies straight through the “meat” and nice in and out business….where the .22lr may do lots of different damage as it “tumbles” through the target
so if you want to shoot targets maybe a .22lr is the way to go….
think of this….if you shoot a 9mm or something else big and powerful round 10 times…how many shots will hit ?…..if you on the other hand shoot a regular small .22lr 10 times the recoil is likely so little you can hammer 10 shots right in your target without any problem
you can get a .22lr kit for the glock 17 then you can shoot 9mm and 22lr…in same gun….just off with one slide and on with another slide…takes 10 seconds to do
if i where to buy a glock again it would the 30 or 36 …45 acp is not as sharp recoiling round as say the 9-10-.40-.357 calipers, the .45 is big nice and slow
we all know the toughness of a glock…my own story was i was about to change the slide out for the .22 one…..the 9mm slide slit off fell from 5 feet right down on concrete….made a mark on the concrete, but you can not find a damn mark on the slide…i was sure there was gona be a nasty mark…but nothing…good as new….if anything my biggest mistake is cleaning it too much :-)…but a glock will work every time

yeah i would like to keep the bullet subsonic as much as possible and i know the 45 does that… wat about the 40 does it stay subsonic??
