I’ve found that I like a variable power with lots of it.

I currently use a 6.5 to 24 power 50 Objective on my SS.

90% of the time it is on 18 Power and I use it for target shooting as well as squirrel and rabbit.

I leave it there and have no problem taking squirrel with headshots out to 50 yards. I have taken 1 squirrel at 73 yards but not on a regular basis.

While I understand the value of smaller magnifications, for me this works.

I have an 8-32 on my condor. It is nice. I’m debating putting a 4-16 on it. But I am very used to the 8x for hunting. It is a small field of view but it’s plenty big enough to fit the squirrel in so it works for me.

4-24x. I like to pick which eye I’m going to shoot out of the bird 😈

Scope, prefer x24. 🙂

I use the force. I just close my eyes, visualize the target, spin around twice and FIRE! It doesn’t work often but it sure scares hell out of the neighbors. AKULA

I hope you are referring to your gun 😯

I hope NOT! 😆

Scopes are easiest, but peeps and open sites are more sporting.

Love my Mildot Tasco Varminter scopes.
Variable but use them set at 6 power typically as that is about the best for me shooting offhand.
Buy airgun scopes for large objective, focus down to 10 yds min and good turrets. Mildot is another great feature for airgunners as extended shots are available with the dots.

Thanks for the poll!

Did you bang it against a table before you mounted it?

A squirrel is larger than a needle.

I try to get the most accuracy not the minimal while shooting.

I agree with you Adam. It is fun to not only go for the head shot, but for the eye shot. I will probably try a scope soon.
