Q:

What Barrel?

I am purchasing a TSS soon and I plan to also purchase a .25 caliber 24 inch barrel possibly with a shroud. I was wondering which LW barrel is best: standard choked, polygonal or polygonal choked.. anyway what is the difference between them .

P.S I haven’t seen anyone with a talon valve and and and a .25 barrel, why is this? ❓

Sweet 😈 :4

Not hard at all, if you have the proper tools. I used a lathe to drill the hole in the valve stem, and polish everything up.

Now how hard is this valve thingy to do? 😈

How many shots do you lose?

I got 50 fpe with my modded talon valve in a .22.

That is one HELL of a lot of power. Did you do any other mods?????? 😯

talon valve IS modded for flow, but the big thing for .25 power is the pellet weights available in .25.

even reducing the velocity of the same pellet to a modest 800fps is still 44.1fpe

and the .25 kodiacs retain velocity better than their .22 counterparts. At 100 yd when i switched to .25 cal I had about 4″ less drop than shooting .22 kodiacs at the same velocity.

Thanks, great, but what kind of power are you getting with the talon tank??

avg 875 fps w/ 31gr kodiacs = 52.7 fpe , talon bottle

avg 975 fps w/ kodiacs = 65.5 fpe, condor bottle

I have both tanks, and use both with my .25. talon tank gives up about 100fps vs the condor valved one, but gets more shots per fill. Backyard stuff and to 30 yds I like the talon tank, expecially for extended shooting sessions. for hunting/longer ranges I switch to the condor valve. Both perform well, just different uses. Depends on what you want/need.
