What could cause this ?
Out of the box my cricket was running at a steady 887fps ish
220 fill for 69 shots
Coming off the reg at about 110 bar
A year later it’s running at around 870 fps
220 fill for 59 shots
Coming off the reg at 110 bar
Is this just it bedding in ?
What should I adjust if anything..

If the gun is made after July 2013 it has a metal valve rod. Either check the certificate delivered with your gun or if you for some reason don’t have that then check thru the serial number.
Or just open it up..

80 high quality Cricket 0-rings, caliber specific, $40 shipped from Ernest. My order goes in tomorrow.
Next, checking to see if my valve rod is plastic or metal.

Momentum Tools is a good source for o-rings in Sweden. Get 90 durometer when available, otherwise 70. The sizes can be found on the schematics/parts list here:

Keep in mind that the o-ring that seals the probe in the barrel is caliber specific. 4,5×1,5 mm for .177, 5,5×1,5 mm for .22 and probably 6,35×1,5 mm for .25.

Get a “jar” of this one too while at it : http://www.vapenvardsbutiken.se/category.html/polermedel
Where do i find JB paste? Does Walter Borg in sthlm keep it u think? Or is it common stuff found in hardware store?!
Please bitch!
I may have something for you IF you ask nicely …
Don’t forget to thorougly clean the barrel before you shoot it. It’s filthy!

Ville! Do you have a kit for me or where do i found the orings in Sweden ? New cricket is waiting at transport Company. Picking it up tomorrow!
Right on! And so for Ernest o-ring kit as well. There’s a list over them rings as well but Ernest kit is the easy, cheap way of doing it.

Ernest, our very own CRICKET MASTER, sells a life time supply in a well laid out kit. Save the wear an tear on your leg, you never know when your rotund neighbor lady may decide to take advantage of you!!! and revenge her prize winning poultry.

I’m not sure about this, but I’ve read somewhere that having the hammer spring too tightly adjusted actually lowers velocity AND wastes more air. Like I said, I’m not sure about this, but it is easy to test, just back it out a little and see if velocity increases.
The OEM o-rings are of a pretty poor quality. I change them all for proper ones when i dive into one the first time. Costs pennies and gives me a peace of mind.
Those OEM rings will leak. Sometimes sooner and – if you´re extremely lucky – sometimes a bit later. Change them all while inside the Gun. Every single one.
Educate the ignorant! Is there an O-ring replacement package someone sells? Or, is there a list of O-rings for the Cricket, with sizes?
I can’t use the “Search” feature because I can only use one leg for another four weeks.
Thanks.

I use jb paste and then hit it with polishing paste after that. That’s what in would do. Fixed my accuracy issues in a hurry.

Thanks for all your replys.
I’m really not confident at taking it apart unless I really have to,
Its still shooting straight so don’t think ill fiddle with it too much until I really need to.
I’ll run another chrono string in a few weeks and see where it’s at then…wink:
