Q:

What do you guys shoot? Target/Paper, Hunt, Plink?!?!

Curious about what you guys mainly use your Air Force rigs for.

Tony

poker chips from the dollar store i get 100 for a buck and a bag of crafting sticks 150 for a buck
just hot glue the chip to the end of stick and the stick em in the ground or snow or staple stick to tree or fence post they shatter when hit and are a small target for long range fun to shoot and cheap

aren’t they?!?! 😀

even cheaper than that i have like 10 ice trays and i fill em up and line the cubes on the deck railing no mess to clean up just have to shoot em befor the melt a drop of food color and you can see em great, i use radiator leak detector and then put up a black light aiming at em and have a nice easy to see night target 😈

I shoot a Condor at paper mostly, especially during the Winter when almost nothing appears to be living up here.

I try to shoot at least a tank of air a day thru it.

Here in about a month, the GS population will explode and my wife wont see much of me. I had 20+ squirrel days last year, hope to repeat that again this time.

All the practice has made me a better shot. 😉

Old frying pans. Boards. Those metal cookie tins you get at christmas. Full soda cans past expiration date. An old tv (tons of fun- snipe the knobs off). Never milkjugs or plastic bottles though- those are saber food.

with the targets you are using!!! 😀

I’m planning on using some of the stainless steel stove burner covers that I burnt 😯 👿 and saved as long distance “Gong Targets”! 😀

up at the Concord USI Range?

I shoot the backyard and hunt the coastal range, Central Valley, and lower
Sierras. I will head out to the Concord range to sight-in other rifles ahead of
hunting excursions; which I used to do out back until my neighbors started
complaining when I touched off especially loud rifle rounds – like my .338
WinMag – out back. Scares their chickens, apparently… 😉

Are you in my neck of the woods?

I’m in the East Bay near Oakland…I shoot Field Target, Silhouette and Benchrest at Concord and will try 10M soon…

Tony

I used to shoot a lot of varmints….now mostly paper

and a acasional crow…no varmints left 😥

I have stops out to 75yards and a few trinkets

hanging in the trees farther out….The kids and I

shoot 10m in the basement, during the winter..

Shelby

I use my condor to hunt squirrels and jack rabbits.

No Air Force gun, but can’t wait until spring thaw when the grackles reappear…
I got 3 or 4 last year without the Leapers 3-9×40 mildot I have on it now..
..
SHould be deadly now that I can hit apples on my backyard trees with it at 100ft. (the Gamo Big Cat)

maybe a few will come real close and I can try my Crosman 357 on them.
I better get a scope on my Baikal so it can have a taste of blood too.

Yep! Yep! Yep! and Yep!

That about covers it.

Condor

Paper, cans, walnuts, etc… to date. Anything I can target without leaving
the garage (its been raining a lot here lately…) Come fairer weather, I’ll
hunt with it.

up at the Concord USI Range?
