What gun is better than this?
What’s a better springer, for that price, comparing the power/accuracy?

Here is a 34 for sale. Very good price!!
I know what you mean when you say it adds up also, i just spent 2.69 on a container of candy at 7/11, and now I realize if I would have picked it seperately and taken the extra time, I would have got what I actually wanted, for cheaper.
Alright i’ll take a look at those guns…didn’t someone say on here not long ago that the b50 was a really bad gun? I think it was teflontron or someone…
I liked the TF 99, 97 B40*, B50*and B26* MUCH more than the 34.
After several RWS guns, it just really put a bad feeling for the guns after I saw how much better other guns were, but at the time, RWS was all I knew, the top of the line, but after buying several, I would have rather had the Crosman 760 I sold to help pay for the 1st model 34.
If you can hold out, try to get a Beeman, BSA or Weirauch (one of the “S” models will have the Record trigger)
The trigger is so much better and the quality is also, on the Beeman, Weirauch or BSA guns that I sold every RWS I owned (except for one of the pistols), which I still have but very rarely shoot. More of a sentimental thing than actually liking the gun, LOL!!
Also, the velocity ratings are quite a bit more exagurated on RWS than on the other guns.
I just do not like the performance (or should I say lack of performance) from RWS. Compared to the others mentioned, it is just more of a …, how should I say this…, a “starter gun”. The RWS guns were all bought new, so it was not like someone ragged them out before I got them, they just have a much cheaper feel to them (which you will not know unless you do a side by side or one day shoot someone elses guns, then you wind up with a sinking feeling, like you feel ripped off and stupid for not knowing better (at least that was my experience).
Now, there is also the other side. There are some that do like RWS and will swear by it (I know a lot of them only have RWS and compare it to a $20 Daisy, etc.
Gamo is also another gun I would not recommend.
I look at it like this- If I spend $200 and am not happy with my purchase, I did not “save” any money, I “lost” $200 because now I have a $200 gun I do not like and do not shoot.
So, I save up again and buy a $300 or $400 gun and fall in love with it.
I do not have $300 or $400 in it, I now have $500 or $600 in it because of the cost of the 1st gun.
Yes, you did gain experience, however, if you are not loaded with money, expensive lesson learned that you may could not afford to begin with.
I learned that lesson many, many years ago when I was heavy into audio. I kept buying cheaper priced equipment and wanting great sound. Well, it NEVER happened. Even though you think- “This is the one”, This one looks great”, The specs are up there with the best of them, it just never was.
In the long run, I would have saved a lot of cash if I would just have bought the audio equipment I originally wanted to begin with.
As it was, I did eventually buy what I wanted, but blew a lot of cash on lesser quality items. After a LOT of time, cash and frustration, I learned my lesson…, buy the very best you can afford, it saves you a lot in the long run and you have what you really want, not just “settling”.
Like I said, I am sure there are others that will talk up the RWS line, but why settle?
If possible, go out to a range where they are shooting pellets and ask to check out some of the guns. Most people are more than glad to help out.
Good luck and let us know how it works out…
which chinese guns are you talking about?
The several 34’s I had all had scope trouble (as well as other things I did not like), but only knew that after buying Beeman and BSA.
If I had the choice between RWS and a Chinese gun, I would get the Chinese gun.
They cost less and the quality is about the same although the bluing looked better on the RWS model, the Chinese guns all shot better…, much better as a matter of fact.
Doesn’t rws 34 have problems mounting scopes? From what I read I think they did…I still have to get my gun licence i take the course next weekend..woooo!!
What happened to the RWS model 36? It was a model 34 with better wood, a butt plate and pistol grip cap. IIRC

Do you need a scope? If you need a scope their package deal with the 4x scope or the 3-9X40 leapers scope is a much better deal.
The 4x scope package is called the RWS 34p “stryker” combo is only 25 dollars more than the regular one without the scope. And this includes the mount!
The 3-9X scope package is called the “Pro” combo and it doesn’t come with sights but it has the cool muzzlebrake that might make it easier to cock. It’s only $70 more and it’s actually a good scope. But I wouldn’t get the “compact model” because the shorter barrel will give you less mechanical advantage while cocking and it might be pretty hard to cock – as i heard the 34 is.
