Q:

What’s needed to fix this???

Yesterday , my .177 TSS, was shooting 10.2 pellets @ 830fps. life was good 😀 😀 This morning I go out to plink….gun sounds terribly weak..I bring it in and shoot some chrony shots..under 400fps !!!!
YES, it was full of air filled to 2800, I had not done anything to gun.I did however tighten TH screws and loc-tite them…but thst was ALL I did, nothing else…..if II turn PW up, naturally power goes up, but not at a cery rapid rate….Normally PW was set at 4.0 for the 830 fps with 10.2 pellets…So, any ideas? do I need to tear down and see if I’ve got broken parts and/or dirty components??? Never had a gun “break” like this while it was just sitting in the house..like I said yesterday it was fine. Thanks for any help…I’m thinking it’s gotten debris inside somewhere that is causing something to drag(hammer??) BTW, I checked barrel and cleaned it, nothing came out….patch was really clean…so I need HELP!!
BTW–the first few shots this morning were OK,,,then it started getting weaker and weaker…

I made sure TH stayed where it was when tightened up the 2 screws…they were like 1/4 loose….I checked breech for leaks already…thanks for suggestions though….maybe the very light lubing I did to the pellets I’m using is somehow causing drag somewhere internally? Is that possible? To tell the truth , it’s like the hammer spring broke in half and collapsed….that’s what the symptoms remind me of 😥 😉 Thought I’d ask here first, before I tear it completely down (looking for easy way out 😆 😆 )

You might check the breech o-rings, by holding a piece of tissue over the breech when fired to see if one has gone bad. Any chance the TH setting moved while loctiting?
