whats new about Colibri gun?
Hello guys,well…. about Colibri semi-auto……, accuracy, power..? When arrived in EUA? It’s possible be more accurate or same the your sister cricket bullpup standart? Let me know what you think.. Thanks guys.

Its a sweet scope and very clear, I pop sparrows up to 80m at 10x most of the times…do miss on occasions.

Did you see the field of view on the MTC Viper Connect 3-12×32 ? I would think on the Colibri it would make for a good varmint chaser set up.

What other scope options are you guys thinking of using ? Trijicon ACOG looks great but it can cost just as much as the gun.

I would want to keep the weight down on this pup. I ‘m anticipating it’ll be a sub 50-80 yard gun, but I could be wrong. The Trijicon is indeed a bit low on mag. I do have a Mamba lite 4-16×44 to try out.

I have the MTC Viper 3X12X44 on my Bobcat and it’s a damn nice scope.

How does one decide among the MTC Viper 3-12×44, the MTC Connect 3-12×32, and the MTC Mamba Lite 3-12×44? Trijicon ACOG are a bit low on magnification for me – even for the HB given the itty bitty targets I shoot at.

A Chinese ACOG – clone comes to mind … For a fraction of the price of the “original”. Functions well does it too. Check the Greenbase website.

The scope I’m thinking of getting for my Colibri is a MTC Viper Connect, $409.00 with free shipping to USA. I will need to use two Weaver mounts instead of the CONNECT MOUNT #OP2008 that has dovetail mount only.

I have online conversations with Nightcat. He is posting numbers from his prototype of about 850 FPS 18.1 JSB. Sounds pretty good overall. I have seen photos where most of the mechanism is located in the stock. From the photos I have seen it would take a real talented stock maker to reproduce.

I posted on the KalibrGun Forum. Nightcat who runs the forum in Russia has one of the early HB prototypes and probably has some good current information. Hopefully he responds.
Even without the semi-auto feature, the placement of the cocking lever looks really functional. If the dropped the semi-auto feature and made the bolt like cocking lever into an actual side lever, that would streamline the appearance of the bullpup. Trigger guard also looks more solid being full metal and not part of the stock. The current stock looks okay but I’m sure someone can get more creative with their woodwork and make one with a forearm piece. If it came with the bulldog woodstock design (minus the magazine holders), I think that would spark added interest. The barrel now fully shrouded looks a lot cleaner like an R3 which is a classy bullpup.
We have also heard that the early delays have been because of problems with the gun rather than just the part delays we heard more recently. It is definitely fraught with peril. Of course I was called a risk taker on my standard Cricket I got now some 18 months ago. KalibrGun is pretty big on doing their R&D given their size of operation. I wish Maverick was still active on this forum.
Talk to us Maverick – or is that Goose? Anyone check the KalibrGun forum lately?
