whats new about Colibri gun?
Hello guys,well…. about Colibri semi-auto……, accuracy, power..? When arrived in EUA? It’s possible be more accurate or same the your sister cricket bullpup standart? Let me know what you think.. Thanks guys.

The sad reality is the prices continue to rise. The Colibri is semi-auto so there is novelty to it. :biggrinn: It is kind of ugly IMO and too large as released.

My personal opinion but who would purchase a Cricket over a Colibri (once/if released) if they’re the same price? With new products on the horizon from multiple manufacturer and retailers, I’m hoping price competition can bring his hobby down to a manageable margin so all walks of life can enjoy it. Can’t imagine these rifles and bullpups built in masses by competent manufacturers cost more than $500 a unit. Market prices on the other hand are not for the faint of heart.

Oooh…That’s good to hear about the 3rd option. I wanted one with stainless + wood. Was going to see if I could “Special” order it, hate the plasticy look, but always loved stainless/nickel plated guns, just hoping the gun will be as accurate and a decent shot count like the Crickets…
Until recently I thought they’d be hard to attach an LDC/new shroud if they are loud, seeing how short they are it might be possible. But recently saw a more up close picture of the shroud that looks like it’s just a slip on with grub screws, which means a custom one would be a viable option with threads for an LDC, much like the Cricket’s 2piece shrouds.
I wish the gun came out when originally planned. I’m in need of a 2nd .22cal for state land hunting (stupid laws allow only .22 or lower on public forests) so this would be a great choice, I’m just probably the most impatient person alive and even 2 more months would be too hard for me! 😛
I agree I have one on order but I would rather you guys get yours first. I know Ernest or someone will take it apart and I’ll get a chance to see if the gun has any bugs. As a prior owner of a FX Revolution I want a gun that is simple and doesn’t require Allen Z to get it working long term.
The delayed release is because they don´t want to release something with bugs on it. The same is true for the .35 cal.
I think it´s very wise to do it that way. A customer is always anxious when waiting for his new Gun but i think it´s far better to have a bunch of customers waiting extra time rather than release something half ready due the demand. A´la another Russian BP maker.
At least that´s the explanation i was served with – and it sounds plausible to me.
Being a loving Cricket owner I pre-order one from Steve also, it’s my first purchase of an R1.
I’m hopping that Kalibrgun spent some of this wait time on removing most of the kinks.
Any known issues on the Russian post, I can’t make heads or tails understanding even when using crappy translators ?

There won’t be no Colibri’s before EARLIEST in July. I’ve placed an order on one myself and was notified that the current plan at KalibrGun is to start with the shipments in late June.

Hello Everyone,
Back from the Benchrest Nationals and trying to catch up on everything. We greatly appreciate the patience from our Customers who have placed orders for the Colibri.
We talked with Richard from KalibrGun on Monday and he offered an explanation as to what the issues were related to shipment on the Colibri. Some of the parts being manufactured for the Colibri were being made in Russia. When the recent Political “SITUATION” developed, Russia held up all shipments to U. S. friendly nations. KalibrGun set up a shop in Belarus and had the parts sent there. From there they are on the way to the CZ Republic.
Allow four to six weeks to clear customs and they should be able to complete the assembly of the airguns. They do have FOUR units that have been Failure tested and they were very happy with the results. They took two of the units apart and have two working models. We are trying to get them to send us one. Not sure it will happen. The net result of this is that we should see a shipment in late June or July.
Once we have a confirmed shipping manifest we will update you at once. Again, we apologize for the delay. We are as anxious as everyone else to get our hands on one.

They will be out in late June/early July in Europe. That´s the latest info from my dealer. There will be three different “color”/material combo´s as well – not just the two they´ve showed thus far. If i remember correctly the third choice will be stainless/wood. Or was it black plastic/blued steel parts. I need to check …

The think that makes me nervous about the Colibri is the fact that I cannot find a single video of the gun is semi-auto operation. I used to own a FX Revolution and the novelty of semi-auto evaporates after it jams a few times. My hope is the Kalibrgun version is more simple. Even if it cost me a little more I plan on waiting for TAG or other bbs airheads to buy it and take it apart for us to see in full operation.
