Q:

whats the best way to drain the tank? (without fill adapter)

im getting ready to swap the stock 13ci bottle for a 22ci bottle on my talonP,

ive been searching on here and cant find the best (safest) way to drain the tank.

( i cant shoot it empty because i live in an apt building, and i do not have the fill adapter as i have the spinlock tank)

is there a way to drain it “semi” quietly??

Take the tank off and hit the top-hat with rubber hammer.

tuko,

they dont put it in the disconnect,

they mean to put a coin in the fill adapter that is for airforce guns “without” the spinlock tank.

when you have a spinlock tank the fill adapter wont work and isnt needed.

i have a spinlock tank,so i wouldnt have been able to use the coin trick.

Thanks

That’s what I was thinking. I have the Spin-Loc tank and ‘Fill Adapter’ to me is the new style AirForce Scuba Tank Adapter.

We can’t use the coin trick so we have to back out the 1/8″ quick disconnect fitting until it goes boom!!! I did that with the air gauge. That little gauge wasn’t any good anyway. Shame about the tomcat though.

We need a tank drain tool. Tony???? Someone????

Tuko

Oh then in that case. Case just loosen the gauge a little bit till u hear a hiss let it bleed out. Or loosen the fill adapter. Just enough so it hisses

stuck the end of the R&L shroud under my memory foam pillow and all i could hear was the hammer slap 🙂

the tank,she is empty 😎

now the wait for monday begins, when my new bottle and scope will be here,

but there will be 12″ of snow on the ground by then,

too much HP and bald tires wont get me anywhere to shoot in those kind of conditions LOL 😈

u tank your tank off the gun like you going to fill it. then put a coin inside the fill adapter and screw it onto the bottle. it compresses the top hat and drains the bottle

Would someone please explain how we put a coin in a 1/8″ male quick disconnect probe??

I’m missing something here!!

Tuko

Coins in fill adapter is the way to do it.

The fill adapter work just fine. u put a coin in there

A fill adapter wouldn’t help. The fill quick connect probe has a check valve in it. It’s a ‘Hotel California’. Air goes in but it won’t come out.

The pre-Spin-Lock tanks could be emptied by putting a spacer in front of the valve and screwing the tank back in. I don’t know if that will work with the Spin-Locks.

Someone should build us a tool to empty Air Force tanks.

Tuko

well,
with the r&l shroud on there it shouldnt be all THAT loud,

i guess trying it once couldnt hurt anything,

im sorry memory foam pillow, you were my friend LOL

Well, you could always point the muzzle into a pillow and shoot it down since noise is and issue.

You can ball up a big bath towel also as well as some clothes or something. Anything you have around the house like pillows or thick bed sheets or stacks of clothes will get the trick done also. Just bury the muzzle into something like that that you don’t really care about and blast away. I stole one of my wifes COUCH PILLOW (she has too fucking many anyways) and it does the trick just fine. And yes, I live in a townhome
