Q:

Where do you stand?

I have a question and want to know your honest opinion.

This question relates to customising air rifles so might bit a bit touch and go for some but to me it is quite streight forward.

As we all know the Gunpower or airforce Rifels are not always up to much out of the box with many parts getting replaced by what we feel are better parts ie the hammer (because of weight, design and material) the valve (for more air flow and larger calliber) the list goes on so I will stop here.

To make my point I will use the valve as an example.
There are guidelines all over the Internet showing how to bore them out and get more power. It’s an airforce part so no one gets upset because it was not designed by one of us.

There has since been many people making their own version of the valve ie blodnob and lang.

Because these parts were designed by these people we go the them to buy the product (or someone who has permision to reproduce)

my question to you all is where do you stand with giving information on changing airforce parts by adapting the original desinge? Should we share it anong the group or charge people for the information? I am not talking about a unique design ie bn valve, wok butt ect

I love to modify good products to get more out of them than the average user.
30 some years ago I sporterized a British 303 jungle carbine that I unpacked from the original cosmoline (sp). Then on to CB radios and Ham radio building and improving. Radio Shack had a fairly good amateur receiver that I made 23 circuit modifications to. The forum of that era was CQ Magizine. Then a Ruger security six 357 revolver that just needed the inside side frames de-burred and polished. Modifying components for a Commodore 64 computer. Building about a dozen home PCs for family and friends. Started Metal Detecting hobby and learning about gold prospecting. And now back to a rifle…..I only have one air rifle so far but the AF rifle has endless potential for modification so if I can get something better than the AF pump, I should stay occupied and happy for several years.

Our near future offers the development of magnetic pulse pellet rifles. What the heck, a little iron core in a lead of plastic pellet or cylinder shaped pellets that are propelled off a rod.

That reminds me, Gamo Rocket pellets are slightly magnetic. Hmm!

That is the type of answer I was hoping for.

Well, not many gun out there can easily be mods, accept the AF guns, it’s also fun when seeing difference designs from others, some like make it look difference from others, some like shorter or longer, some like to increase the power, some like to change it larger caliber, etc…. I think this is a fun part, don’t you think?

Experiencing differences is fun…. This is why we call it “Hobby” and this is why we’re here for.

Question back to you, why most ladies like to shopping?
