which .22lr pistol

have had it out shooting couple of times now…

i like how cheap it is to shoot….my favorite gun is my 44mag, but the cost of shooting it really keeps me from dumping 3-500 rounds through it in an afternoon…(hope fully that will change soon)

its very accurate, shot standing but somewhat rested t i can hit
2″ groups at 25 yards…and that sais alot because im not a very good shot with hand guns, actually im pretty bad, this is the only gun i can accurately hit with, the bull is doing ok too, but neither the glock or 1911 is anywhere near it

unrested standing…its still very accurate i can at least hit the 3″ targets at 25 yards with some regularity….

did i mention that its cheap to shoot ? cant say that enough….for 100 bucks i can get 75-100 rounds of 44mag(250-300 rnd 45acp), or 3000+ rounds of wallmarts .22lr !!!! even if you want to be shooting something better than the remington goldens….you can still get 2500rnds of cci minimags for 160 bucks….that many rounds will keep you busy for a day or two thats for sure 😀

balance is great on this gun, you might think the long barrel is heavy, but the fluting is deep which keeps the weight down considerably and this is actually the lightest of the mk3 with a bull barrel !

ok now some of the bad things….
trigger is now doing something to the magazine, so you cant shoot it unless you got a mag in there, and that apprently gives you a bit mushy trigger, but its aint bad.

after 250+ rounds the weaver rail worked it self loose, i guess i should have given the blue loctite a bit more time to set…..removed it and continued shooting, 50-100 rounds later the front sight screw had loosened it self…and that was set with red loctite from the factory ! had to quit shooting

there seems to have been a little metal chip in the action as i could feel something grinding/binding ever so slightly, after a thorough cleaning it was smooth as butter, but its visible that theres some binding spots that needs to be worked a bit

the HiWiz sight could be picking up a more light, well the range lights could be alot better but i choose the hiwiz as this was supposed to be easier to see and it barely lights up might as well have been shooting black on black sights

the case the gun comes in, has no room for the second mag unless in the gun (i dont like that) the otherwise nice padlock which is like something you would be using on your garden shed or tool box, a medium sized lock…if that is on the gun the gun wont fit the case….case it self is injection molded, with no padding and no way of cutting anything for extra assesories a shame ! my glock and 1911 both came with very nice cases with room for extras, locks mags etc….it could be worse…taurus came in a worthless cardboard box lol

3-4 stovepipes, couple failure to feed….in 600 rounds…and the gun was not worn in….and cheapo ammo….less than 1% failures…not bad either

got the gun this friday….have yet to shoot it for real…shot 4 rounds of colibri through it, which are very quiet (no hearing protection needed) and pretty accurate at 10 yards, but you have to cycle the gun your self.

mounted the eotech on it….bit big and heavy for that gun….the cheaper ebay 4 reticle reddot is much nice looking

got about 4000rnd of .22, gotta go burn off a few rounds tomorrow !

alot of online places bitches about the difficulty of field stripping the gun…it is much harder than say a glock….but only a bit harder than my 1911….it does have some annoyances like a ahmmer pin that likes to get caught on a frame pin….but all in all…not so bad as it is made out to be.

well decision was made, they could not get a blued bull barrel unless i wanted to wait 14 days…i dont…wanna buy now while the wife has given the green light for it, price difference was 360 for the BB and 500 for the hunter, sights on the BB version would need changing which added 40 to that, so “only” 100 bucks difference

so i choose the hunter version just like this one
