which .22lr pistol
Looking at.:
Ruger mk3 since i cant find a mk2 in any stores around here….its the stainless version with target grips, long fluted bull barrel at about 500 bucks
Baretta Neos…has a nice rail on it
and SW has one that looks like the beratta too, different grips, also has a nice rail but seems to be sitting a bit lower
whats your opinions on a 22lr target pistol, under 500 bucks ?

wife decided on the hunter target version with flutet long barrel….but CA law has changed…if you license dont have current adress on it, even though they can look it up, then you have to go to the dmv and get a printout grrrrr no gun today…gotta wait till monday …funny enough we have bought 3 guns within short period of time, and theres been no problem, but now there is
Ive had about 6 MKII’s over the years. The weight and feel of the heavy 6 inch is really nice and to be honest I couldnt tell any difference in accuracy on the one I had a (I think) 12″ barrel. It looked really sweet though. I dont know much about the MK3’s but the II’s are built like tanks and you will never have any trouble with them. There are tons of aftermarket parts for them and many mods you can do yourself. Trigger stops front and back is an easy mod. I did both of those internally so that you didnt see any set screws on the outside and it made for a much cleaner install.
the Sig was nice, but not really what im looking for, same with the walther (which is just too small)
Browning buckmark was one on my list or the Ruger, i have been at 3 stores around town today, and none have the ruger Mk2
Ruger mk3 with wooden grips 7″ fluted barrel was very nice, so was the one with short bull barrel
SW didnt fit my hand
Neos was nice to hold, but then i read that theres problems with their crowns, and poor accuracy
SW m41 too expensive
i want something thats dead accurate, and just works
the Sig Hammerli Trailside was nice, they had a used one that was sold allready gdamn it
Neos is a cool gun.
I have the S&W, great little pistol. Got it with a green dot on top. Good accuracy, and feels good in the hand. I would definately recommend it.

Mk II, maybe a MKIII if you can’t find a MKII, (shoot it first). Many people like the Browning Buckmark.
I have the Sig-Sauer Mosquito and highly rate it.

Extremely accurate pistol that has never given me an ounce of trouble.
Ruger MKs are always a good bet have shot many. Can’t offer an opinion on the others you list.
Might also check out the Browning Buckmarks, tons of variation to choose from both above and below your price point.
I’ve had a Buckmark silhouette for about 12 yrs and it is one of my most accurate and enjoyable shooters. Totally reliable and very smooth shooting.
