I vote for the Oehler if you can spend the money, the Pro Chrono if your budget is more limited. BUT . . . the new version of the Magnetospeed is supposed to be good for pellets, too (not yet shipping). If that works as well as I think it will, that will be my #1 choice, even over the Oehler.

Got my new Magnetospeed V3 on 4/19– I had a V2 but wanted the V3 just so I could use it on air rifles. I can confirm that it does.

Works a mint and just like my previous V2 is dead-on compared to a friend’s Oehler 35P. Much more convenient to setup than the Oehler though!

My favorite “regular” chronograph is the Oehler but it’s big, bulky, and a pain to setup. For a good second-place choice I’ve found the CED M2 to be neck and neck with the Oehler and it’s much smaller & easier to setup. The CED seems to be more tolerant of off-axis light than other brands I’ve tried (Chrony, Pact, etc.)

Yesterday, i have send an email to PA and ordered two of ProChrono ,,,, one for mine one for my friend, thanks guys,,, i do highly appreciate your help ,,, you are top helpful guys i have ever knew ,,, thanks a tons ,,, :8: :8: :8:

I have a Combro and I only use it for getting a reading on a few shots or out in the field. They are very cheaply made but work. Since my Gamma Master is on a tripod ready to go I actually use it most of the time anyway and it has a printer and is better for long strings, etc.

Couldnt put i better mate i have the f1 and combro although the f1 is less work by far in long strings unless u hook combro up to a pc but are are very accurate as each other good thing about the chrono is its cheapness very easy to service any part of it at all or can send it back and have it fixed and reclibrated for around £5 i do find the combr easyier to use tho with its fps and ftlb readings is a great little tool i often take out hunting wth me so if i miss coupke if shots i chrono to make sure its me and not the gun usually is me at error 😉

Hi Hemn,

The pro. is the good one I like, it works better with the light system http://www.ebay.com/itm/370639111053 . It never shows errors like F-1 does all the time.

Brother SECoda,

Now, I can say we got 3 for Pro…. nice …. let wait and see until tomorrow, ,, now I have to go to bed, it is 12:00am here…, you guys keep posting and let me get more details. … have a nice day for you…. and good night for me….

I think the Pro-Chrono’s have a better reputation than the Shooting Chrony’s overall. I bought my SC F1 about 25 years ago – shot it and then got a Gamma Master as a discounted replacement years ago. I would replace it with something else now and probably a Pro-Chrono. The good part of the Gamma Master is the computer and screen is separate from the sensor unit by a wire so you don’t shoot it by accident and it has a huge memory. The printer is cheaply made.

My brother Scoda,

This is really very expensive, and looks like top…. but for that price you guys in US can buy a new Marauder version. …

Coda, if you vote for the above mentioned chronographs, which one will be your choice?

😛 I wasn’t voting for the Gamma Master. Put my vote on the Oehler 35P. Best chronograph I have ever seen and we have them at the bench rest club. They are a bit expensive.

Brother Dave,

Thanks for the kind reply, do you think this one works better than Chronograph?

Yes, I want spare some penny, but currently I want to place an order from PA web and I want to put it with the order and buy it….

But if this one is better than the above mentioned chronographs …. I might try to get two of them. .
