Which scope should I buy between these two choices…

Just measured it, 15″ long minus sunshade, 18 1/2″ with Sunshade
EDIT: Another change on the newer model, it’s now 1/4″ MOA clicks. Mine is 1/8th MOA, but I don’t mind. To many people were complaining about 1/8th clicks, so they changed it.

Another thing I should bring up… the newer models have a couple of improvements over the one I have. There’s now ‘come up’ lines at the base of the elevation turret so you can see how many times you’ve turned it. Also, instead of 3 small grub screws on the turrets, there’s just one big one on the top of the turrets to loosen to reset them to zero.
Wow, BSA compared to a leupold? I’ve played with bsa scopes, I don’t think they compare at all to my leupold. Not horrible, but definitely not as good.
Well, some of you guys may have read my opinion about the TRS-1 compared to Leapers, the Millet just seems to be better overall imo. As far as a stiff sidewheel, mine is a little stiff, but not terrible by any means. It doesn’t come with a big side wheel, but as you can see in this pic, the AO knob is considerably larger than the other turrets, giving you more leverage to turn it.

I have that same BSA scope. I like it allot. I would rather it not have those telescopic lens covers…they add too much bulk to the eye relieve. The glass seems very clear. When I compare it to my Leupold I don’t really see much difference in clarity. It is a heavy sob, though.

I have heard the side wheel was just an isolated incident on the sniper central review (I’m assuming this is where you saw it as well) I’ve never heard of one having that problem from anywhere else.
yes, that is where I saw it. I am definitely leaning towards the Millet.

If you get it and don’t like it I’ll trade you my 8-32 leapers for it! 🙂

I have the 8-32 leapers and I like it a lot on my condor.
But if someone asked me to trade it for a millet, I would without much thought.
80, I find that this one is clearer than the illuminated Leapers scope..I
have them both and shot them both this morning….@ 32mag is does get
somewhat foggish like any other at high mag but, you can turn the 8-32
down to 24mag and get a really clear view..For the price you can’t beat
it..

Yeah, I’ve been hearing nothing but good stuff about that millet. Real bargain for the money. I’ve read allot of good reviews, but ultimately I’d like the opinion of all my TAG brethren. Thanks

Yeah, its kind of hard to believe, but when I look at pigeons on a wire 110 yards away on 10x mag, there does not seem to be much of a difference in the clarity, brightness and detail. I suppose the big differences would occur if they were both “high” mag optics, then the Leupold would leave the BSA in the dust, I’m sure.
