Also, what the Hell is this label on my hammer spring???? I was wondering why I was seeing a white piece of paper from time to time appearing by my power knob… 😯 😕 😯

I don’t want to piss on anyone’s picnic, but some parts of the gun are better left alone.
Find a custom turned bolt knob to your liking that’s a direct replacement for the OEM knob and be done with it.

Actually, I’m working on a little project that will add some “Hot Rod” pizazz to the rifles. What I am in need of right now is about 10 bolt knobs to play with…I will put out a wanted message to those who make the custom turned ones, perhaps they have some of the stock ones laying around that I could buy for a good price. Anyone have any???
In a prone situation, with multiple targets in front of you, you’d be amazed at how much quicker you can reload with a side-cocker.
Little changes can make a big difference when you are in the field.

The Mosin bolt handle is a nice looking mod, but it doesn’t improve the gun’s ergonomics or operation and adds unnecessary weight.

80 Grit I did the brass insert mod to both my Condor and Talon in my delrin bolt works great you could do that to yours or a new one that way you would not have to worry about stipping out the threads it is a mod that works very well for tearing down one to clean no more worry about delrin threads Delrin is nice but not real good for threading and taking the cocking knob of and on!!

Thanks for the link. I think I may be ordering that one. Not a bad price, and it comes with taps and all! My only question is how strong is that delrin (spelling?) breech material??? Will it withstand the added weight of the handle and not strip out the threads??? There will be two points of contact…worst case scenario, I buy a new breech and go to plan B 😀

I can’t see how that MN wouldn’t work well, since the spacer seems to act as a guide to slide it into the frame…Perhaps it was because of “aluminum to aluminum” contact…otherwise you’d think it worked just fine.
