Q:

Why do a lot of people here seem to dislike the Bobcat?

Or FX in general? I’ve seen several regular posters say something to the effect that they have a general dispostion when it comes to the FX Bobcat and FX in general. Such as “Friends don’t let friends buy Bobcats” etc etc. Not trying to start a feud but I am leaning heavily on buying a Bobcat. I want to hear some of the general gripes people have with FX and or the Bobcat. I have no partiality to any manufacturer, if I could I would have them all.

Your thoughts please….

Have been shooting since this summer. Bought Sir Willes Edgun. Really love it.
But the Bobcat caught my eye with the new stock, great trigger, awesome accuracy and smooth reloading. So I got one .25 in december. Early Christmas gift to me 🙂

Yes its little heavier. Mine weight 4800 gram with Sidewinder scope. And a little longer to. But that does not bother me. Little louder to. But Im working on a mod 🙂

Here is a pic of them.

FX aesthetics sucks balls. But if Steve says it is the best airgun there is, then it must be so. And all the Yellow sheep believes it…

So mainly aesthetics? Not that FX has any more issues than any other manufacturers airguns? I was thinking maybe the dislike was due to FX’s being problematic. Thanks for your inputs!

I think the biggest issue is its just not a BP the .25 and the .30 come in at 37inches thats only 5 inches shorter than a Mrod (full size rifle) and .38 inches shorter than a AA carbine. And then to get it as quiet as these you need to add more length! The .22 is the only one thats really in the ballpark. They should have moved the action back a couple inches and worked a more efficient hush device.

When most think bull pup, short would be a common term used to describe one. Have you viewed Ted’s latest holdover video? The overall size of the BobCat is an issue for me. 29 inches for the standard 22 is not bad, but in order to make it backyard friendly you need to add 3 to 6 inches of baffles.
FX makes some fine AGs, they missed the mark on this one. If it works for you go for it.

You nailed it iron, + its heavy, Like he said it shoots good

OH and the Mickey Mouse scope rail….they just used a Airforce Tri rail it looks like.

Because the stock looks like shit, its more of a carbine in length than a bullpup, and its loud without adding length….BUT it is accurate so if you can live with it go for it.
