I actually got word the last time his list opened (think it was right here, actually) while it was open last time. It was only open for two hours.
I had my phone in one hand, and a friends in the other, redialed for an hour or more with both phones simultaneously, and got nothing but a busy signal until long after I read online that the list had been closed.

Undoubtedly these are tough guns to get…sometimes for sale in the yellow classifieds but nothing like a brand new one made to order.
I’m not paying a scalper $1400, for a $750 gun.

His rifles are more than reasonably priced if you can get on his list.
The list is open for no more than 2 hours with each run of 50 rifles he does. Difficult to get on, but not impossible.
The ranges up here are costly too….15/hr for 25 yrds and 23/hr for 100 yrds. It sucks…and shooting clubs cost even more.. Wish I had some land in Wyoming or Montana where people shoot all day long off their back porch.

Nope, I’m just envious and being humorous. I’m familiar with Quackenbush and Barnes and such for a few years now. I never knew how great airguns can get. Awesome rifle…. Everytime I check out the DAQ website, he’s not accepting orders….just like Barnes…and this list is so long…so I relegate myself to the affordable and available stuff.

I haven’t shot it yet. I’m waiting on a Pelican 1759GC to get here so I can take it to the range. I just recently found a range thats only $10 a day. Problem is it’s either 25 or 100 meters. Nothing in between. The electronic part of the range is from 300 to 1000 meters and is $35 an hour. Who wants to bet me I can’t hit the 6’x6′ target at 300. 😉

Riff, yes it’s a DAQ. Almost find it hard to believe an airgunner doesn’t really know what a DAQ is. When I learned of them I think I sharted myself. As a kid I thought the power of Sheridans was the beez kneez. Different strokes for different folks though, I barely know what a spring gun is.

I did the same as you butcher. Cellphone and house phone both redialing. Didn’t think I’d get one.. and then when a woman answered I thought I’d got the wrong number and nearly hung up.
