Just wondering if anyone on here was saving up for anything other than another Airforce rifle?

I’ve always found Crossman to be of cheap build quality and needs lots of modding. But some folk like to tinker with their cheap guns and spend shedloads on getting them just right 🙂 The S410’s are a nice gun but overated in my opinion, everyone I know who’s had one has replaced it with a HW100.
But now seriously considering the new Crosman Marauder .22cal
I just talk to airgunsource in Peterbrough and I’m told they’re getting their first Marauder shippment in June/July.
I just gotta say, that’s a damned poor cheap-looking gun for $500.
Never mind how it shoots, the furniture looks like something out of Russia circa 1943.
And by the way… what the hell is up with the recoil pad on the butt? Do we bruise that easily? 😆

For me it will probably be a .25 Rapid built up by Swift. 😀
But I wouldn’t miss a good buy on a Air wolf. Albert in Texas has one for sale, but still payiing out on this move! 👿

Was thinking about a S410 X-tra FAC version but too much $$$’s for my liking….
But now seriously considering the new Crosman Marauder .22cal
I also like the fact that it has a factory build barrel shroud which makes it legal in Canada. If you goto Crosman’s website and view the “power and performance” video you can hear the difference compared to their other air rifles… nice and quiet.

Doubt that I’ll buy another airgun. I’ve been blingin’ and slingin’ the SS, but all the while I’ve got my grandfather’s Benjamin 342 .22cal sitting in the gun locker.
The Benj was the second gun I was allowed to shoot in my life after my Daisy Red Ryder (still got that too :lol:), and it kicked some open-sight shootin’ ass. That’s the gun that taught me about elevation and windage. Kentucky Windage, to boot.
It just turned fifty years old now, give or take a year, and it needs an internal rebuild… the seals are history and it doesn’t hold air anymore, so I’m planning to delve into the depths of antique Benjamins one of these days and figure out how to freshen it up.
I got my SS and was very unhappy with it at first. So I decided to send it off to a bloke called leupy http://www.leupyscustomshop.co.uk. He replaced the hammer, spring, spacers, bushes, valve stem and O rings. Most importantly I had a BSA superten barrel fitted as the standard lother barrels I find to be crap.
All in all I’m very happy with it, I’d quite like it modded with a side cocking action but I can put up with it as it is for now.
I can’t see myself buying another and having to go through it all again though. I crave multi-shot goodness. I’ll still keep it for long range work mind. : )
Ah I see. I’ts the grip cocking that I like 😆 Still I can see my next rifle being anither SS and then I’ll spend hours and hundreds of $$$ getting It to shoot right 😆 I do like the look of those ed guns though.

No fella it’s just people who don’t load the pellets properly. I think there were some issues with the very early ones, but now they run smooth. My mates got one and I’ve never seen his jam : )
32 Shot mag, grip cocking, 12ft/lbs. Shoots better than a BSA superten. Not the lightest of rifles but it’s a cracking hunting rifle. I prefer my rifles to have a bit of weight as I think it helps aim. All in all a very accurate piece of kit.
the .308 is around 6 or more.

The 457 is as Cygnusx mentioned – two, 500+fpe shot’s.
If the edgun was a multishot I’d probably look into getting one, if they were freely available in the US then I’d likely get one even as a single shot.

Ditto I-snipe. I’ve seen them before over on another forum but can’t remember anything about them. They look nice anyway. Do you know how they shoot, power, SPC etc?

I’m happy with what I have but I do want a high quality FT gun (even if I’ll never compete in a true FT comp)… I’ve had my eye on this one…. 8)
I have no desire to get a new airgun, tbh. Though, if I did, I would probably make myself another whippet just for giggles.
