No more EDguns out of Russia :(

Sorry for making a new topic, but it seems to me there is a reason to do it. As I told before — we got some problems with sending out guns out of Russia, all the ways, we used to work were closed. Thanks to our government, for example according to a new law one even cannot send a China soft-air pistol by mail out of Russia. The most stupid thing is they made a list of so called “gun parts”, thing out of that list are not allowed to be sent by mail, one needs to call the special company which has a license to delivery such a parts. Among real parts of the gun like barrel etc, you can find there a gun-stock as well or parts of the guns stock, just a piece of wood but it a real “gun part”! Needless to say we are not happy of such a stupidity.
Anyhow I decided to try an official way of the delivery, we made an official contract with my Estonian’s friend. Executed all the bank papers, allowing us to make a dilivery. Then I gave to the local custom office the whole bunch of papers to proof that everything is according to the law. We discussed many things with them, even if I need a special license from the Ministy of Defence of Russia, allowing me to take my guns out of Russia (I have to say, that according to Russian laws and all the papers I make no the weapon but the “thing like the weapon” I have them all sertified for 3 Joles limit.)
So, it took about 3 weeks to prepare all the documents, to agree all the issues etc. Then I got a permission to begin the execution of the papers, allowing me to take the guns out of Russia. Everybody told that everything would be OK. The truck came from Estonia, we were about to load it already and suddenly the custom officials claims that they need to take few samples for the test if they are real 3 Joles. They did it — took out 4 gun, 2 Matadors and 2 Lelyas. It was las Thursday, 10th of Feb. Needless to say we gave them the real 3 Joles guns, the truck was staying at my place, waiting for them. Couple of days ago Ii got the information that there are some problems with the test. I understood that there will not be any delivery and let the truck go back to Estonia (that cost me 1 500 euro to keep it here waiting for the loading). Yesterday I got a call from the custom office, they are willing to come to my place. I expect they want to arrest the rest of the guns (about 60 Matadors)
I have no intention to give the guns to them. I made an official letter saying that due to the long time of execution and hight cost of all the deal I refuse to delivery the guns out of Russia and will sell them in Russia.
So I evacuated all the guns from the workshop and expect them to come on Monday. I have no idea what will going on but do not expect anything good 🙁
Thus the last legal way of taking the guns out of Russia was cut off 🙁 And I have no option left. So there are two ways:
1. Those who made a deposit to Tony — you can take it back. Those who had paid me — give me a letter of PM we will discuss the way I return money to you.
2. Wait until we made the first 300 guns in Europe (we started to make them already). We expect them to be ready in September-October period of time of 2011.
Yes, there is another option — to come to Russia and take the guns by yourself but I would consider that option rather as fantastic.
I think needless to say how I HATE that bloody Russia bureaucracy, Putin and Medvedev. You even cannot imagine how we live here, we spend about 70 % of all our efforts and power just to struggle the system and only 30 % we can use for the real work 🙁
It became quite popular to make an Internet letter to Medvedev, so if some of you want to do it, you can make a letter to him, asking why the bloody Russia doesn’t allow their people to work and sell the good things out of Russia instead of gas and oil.

How can people not jump to conclusions when your post was misleading and lacking in details…. after the buyer did in fact get his money back. 🙁
No doubt you are frustrated in the way things have worked out at this point. I would be a bit stressed as well… long standing order, a good sum of money paid upfront, the news of new modifications and shipments happening around you. It also sounds like there isn’t enough clear communication between you and ED to satisfy your needs. On top of it all, you are still trying to maintain the excitement of owning a new Edgun one day. In your case, several. I feel your pain my friend… 😥
BUT, from all the posts I’ve read over the months… more of a reader than poster… I get the sense that Ed is a stand up guy who isn’t very happy when the little guy isn’t satisfied.
Hang in there, be patient and it will all be worth it in the end. 😉
At the very least… you will get your money back.
One day… I too will own an Edgun R3, .25 cal, long gun semi auto 😀

Despite the best efforts of my parents when I was a kid, I am not a religious person. I think it is because I have seen so many bad things happen to good people that it is hard to believe in a kind and merciful god. And if He / She doesnt give a sh*& about what happens in this world, why would the next one be any different? Heaven might be just like Newark NJ. That would be a cruel joke. Anyway – I have decided to make an exception.

@ Uncle Hoot: The story of this little Lelya is so long it would be meaningless to go into detail. That’s why the tale is “lacking specifics.” I am sure Ed can confirm the number of emails related to this little gem only…
But as I said, it never arrived in Norway, – albeit all possible efforts by Ed & friends. Something I find a bit worrying, as there should be no restrictions on shipping cal.177 out of Estonia. After all, – that’s where Ed is putting up his asssembly line with the aim of exporting more easily. According to Ed, there are certain restrictions on cal.22 (thats why my two Matadors were held by customs and never arrived here.) I find it alarming that exports does not seem to happen as easily as expected.
As for “insinuations”, you’re free to read my posts whatever way you want, but don’t jump to conclusions that are not justified…… 😉
@ Ed/all: Yepp, the buyer got his Money back and is very pleased with that. No need to worry about that part…..

PS: If I now could get a reply to my own question about my three Matadors and my Veles (two Matadors paid for in September 2010) and a R3 and Veles, I would be very pleased. I want to know if Ed still plans on shipping the old models, or whether he will substitute those with the new R3 ? And the Veles should have been ready for shipment in March according to Ed, – but I have no further details…..

Money to Jan was sent on 18th of April. I informed him about it and since I got not claim from him, that he hasn’t got the money, I considered that everything was OK. Your post made me nervous, wondering if he got the money, I wrote him a message about it but got no reply yet. Did he get the money?
I do hope so that ed will export edguns all over the world without problems… first things first in holland we need a dozen of them.. because i ordered one !!!and i can only say its the best airgun i’ve ever held in my hands and shot with it only a few times… it was i quese 3 shots and it took some time to realize that there is nothing better.
i’ve sold almost everything out of my collection(: air arms and a perfect talon ss .20 doing 70 good shots out of one fill) just to finance a matador..
i can only say one thing ed rules!!!
Zoco…An Edgun is not an easy product to obtain these days, given the circumstances Ed is working under.
A lot of things can happen behind the scenes, and in this particular passion play, not all the details are known to us forum members.
Insinuations, questions, and tales lacking specifics, do nothing to resolve a problem, nor do they help the rest of us understand what you are really trying to say.
If you’ve got something to say, simply say it! Then we can all kick it around, sniff it, scratch it, and determine if there is any merit to it.

Then his house was surrounded by a mob of enraged Norwegian bicyclists, high on bad cheese and tainted wine, who torched his garage, his new Jaguar, his vintage Triumph TR-3, and subsequently conducted a lewd, hip-hop dance, to the beat of a matched set of jungle drums on his front yard, during which the local police fired tear gas into the drunken masses???
Of course that’s just a guess on my part.

Apparently could not be shipped out of Estonia. According to Ed it was returned to sender and later shipped to his contact in Finland for reshipment to Norway. Something which should be veeeery easy to do.
But somehow the little Lelya got lost in Finland, – and the buyer got fed up waiting. (The story about this Lelya is as looong as Pinoccio’s nose if not longer…. 🙄 ).
The buyer requested his money back as offered by Ed…….
Now guess: Did the buyer receive his money back or not ?

I don’t know about that, I have shot a lot of crows and usually what happens is the other crows gather round and make a big scene for a couple minutes before flying away and leaving the dead as they fell.
I hope they do bury their dead though. A couple years ago I shot a BUNCH of crows from some trees and I am sure their bodies fell into somebodies yard. I eventually stopped because I was worried that somebody would see all the dead crows and there would be trouble.

I don’t think crows bury their dead. Please post a official link stating that.
They are very intelligent but also the most unclean animals . They constantly eat crops but also feast upon the flesh of dead animals including human remains. It’s a challenge to hunt it as they recognize the human or the specific car that brings them death.
