A good BB tool
The booster pump allows me to take a tank that has as little as 800 psi of air in it and fill my BB to 4500 psi . . Were ever my tank might be . Regulate the 800 psi down to 100 psi with the attached regulator and it no longer needs a compressor to drive it . Jeriod over on Randy’s site introduced me to this pump .The regulator can reduce 10000 psi to as low as 10 psi .Marvin

Thats why I bought this thing . Before I got into BB . I bought a 3500 psi compressor , one 80 cf 3000 psi tank , and two 80 cf 3300 psi tanks . Then came the BB All six of them . Two pour by then to start over . So I bought the booster . Marvin

I cleaned the inside of my pump once . It is about as basic as it gets . Should hold up for years to come . Also This week I started with a 80 cf tank at 3500 psi . Have filled 12 condor bottles from 1800 psi to 3100 psi and still have 2400 psi in the tank . And thats with using the 80 cf tank to drive the pump as well. Marvin

Since I’ve only had the respirator tank for about 3 months, I’ve used it several times to shoot at the indoor range an hour at a time. In an hour refilling the rifle about 10-12 times (I didn’t keep count) shooting 4-5 times per fill. The resp tank pressure only dropped about 300 psi. My Air Hog dropped about the same maybe 400 psi total. Instead of filling the gun with the Air Hog until I need it, I use the booster pump from the start and it let’s me keep higher bottle pressures longer. I use less air that way.
I was given an almost out of date 2200 psi respirator tank, so I put a valve and regulator on it to power the booster out in the field.

The Booster arrived today via the Brown truck and the driver I am slowly feeling a little better about.
I looked at all the pieces and decided that I needed some things to assemble it, a fill nipple, teflon tape and a quart of Corona.
After aquiring the tape and and Corona, I picked up the instructions and started to work. I put the thing together, and found I was missing a connection to connect my high pressure side to the threaded nipple.
I measured the threaded nipple and then looked at my fill adapters on the Pygmee tank and the Joe Brancato assembly, and sure enough I could canibalized them to get what I wanted.
Before I took it apart, I decided to check Joes website to see what I needed and it was there I found that I could get a fill nipple with a female thread to fit the threaded nipple on the Booster. The nipple on the Booster measured around a 1/2 inch, and when I read on Joes site that there was a Condor adpater it then dawned on me, I had such a fill nipple, it was on a AirForce bottle fill adapter that I used on my Scuba cascade assembly before I got rid of the scuba and went to the ETACs, Shoebox and SCBA.
BTW, that fitting, fill nipple with female threads, was brass, I am not going to use this for a week or so, I have time to get a stainless steel one. I got the AF fill adapter in a used SS purchase, is it factory, is it safe?
So I hunted around until I found it, canibalized it off the fill adapter and installed it on the tower on the Booster.
What you see is the result, all my tanks are pretty much full for now, so I will not use this until the Ranger gets here, which is supposed to be next week.
I still need to get a regulator and a”T” fitting for the high pressure/low pressure supply, but have decided to wait and see if I draw an elk and deer tag for the area around my old house in the mountains. If I draw a elk tag in the elk lottery for that area , I will need the back of the car portability, if I do not draw a tag, I will buy a compound bow and start practicing, bow season is a buy a tag and hunt deal, either way I am going elk hunting. Until the tag drawing, I will use it as is to do the 4600 PSI fills from my Shoebox/bench compressors.
It was easy to put together as witnesses by the remaining beer in my bottle of Corona.

Plastic man are you regulating 4500 down to 3000 , and using a compressor to run the booster or how do you have it set up.
I have a booster pump and for me, it’s worth it’s weight in gold. I lets me keep filling my guns to 3600 psi, even when I only have 1000 psi in my tank. I found that if I use the booster, even when my tank is topped off at 4500 psi, my high pressure lasts longer. I can extend the use of a bottle fill by 3-4 times (maybe more I don’t keep track that good) and get a lot more shooten for my $6. When I doing some serious testing, I used to make a trip a day to top off my tank. Now I’ve been able to shoot all weekend without needing to refill my tank.

IMHO, I think it is a great combination…
The Shoebox is a great source for HPA…but kinda slow.
The HPA Booster can make +1000 PSI much quicker.
I can fill a 13 cuft or 17 cuft tank to 4500 psi in 5 to 10 minutes using a 3k or lower pressure. It really gets down to what your max pressure and volume needs are.
I look at it that I can use the Shoe Box to maintain a HPA source…and the Booster can supplement the filling of portable tanks and making 3000 psi + HPA quickly……. all for under $1k.
As a reference I have only filled my 3300 psi and 4500 psi tank twice in a 12 month period. I think if your running a High energy air gun.. .25 and up. This would be a great option to a full blown scba compressor.
I plan on picking up a S.B. later this summer.

I have had a couple of PM’s asking why I ordered this unit when I have a Shoebox.
My reason is simply that when I am 250 miles from my Shoebox, up on a mountain hunting, I will get one full fill of 4500 PSI for each scba tank I have, and I need 4600 PSI.
If a friend wants to shoot it, or I take a shot at a big cat or the very rare chance I miss a elk. :lol:, or I need to rezero at an allitude that is 5500 feet higher than where I zeroed the rifle. I want as much power on my refills as I can get.
Combine this with the fact that the rifle fills to 4600PSI a level that I have only been to once with my Shoebox, it is mostly a 4200 PSI compressor, and I have not yet put the add on McMaster Carr pressure cutoff on it, that pressure cutoff will get me to 4500 PSI. I find a unit that gets me to 4600 each time, while I am parked on a mountain top 7 hours drive from home to be a very valuable tool.
At home, shooting my other PCP’s 4200 PSI is great, but when that Ranger shows up on my doorstep, 4200 will be 400 PSI short. Buying and installing the pressure cutoff from Mcmaster Carr will fix that, but like I said, it will not address the in the field 4600 PSI Fills.
So that is why I decided to go both with the Shoebox and the Booster.

Well I ordered a bunch of HPA fittings, an elbow, a “t” several bushings and connectors and a bleed valve from Northshore.
Then I ordered that $271.00 regulator others want $400.00 for.
The fittings get here tomorrow and the Regulator sometime next week.
I plan on putting the “T” on the booster imput nipple and attach the regulator to it, then run a HPA line from the low side of the regulator with a female disconnect to a male disconect on the elbow on the 100 PSi valve. Reson for the disconnect is that is allows me to screw everything in without worring about getting threads timed. I am useing HPA even on the 100 PSI part of it for added safety.
My scba bottle will connect to a male fitting on the “T”, that way I can take it off to fill something else if I want to.
I will try and see if I can power the entire Booster set up with my little Pygmee tank, mainly because it would make such a small package if it works,perhaps put it all in a Pelican type case. If it does not work I have three of the 44 cuft tanks.
So that is the plan, but once it is all front of me it may change.
