Syn, I donated $20, how much did you pitch in?
I’ll be the first to admit that trying to maintain air gunning as a weekend hobby while maintaining residence in a ridiculously small nyc apartment is quite a stupid and impractical thing to pursue.
Since you asked so nicely though, I did remedy my problem by mounting a 5″ vice to my desk and using a cheater bar.
But hell yes, trying to pry that valve off without the proper tools for the job was quite a show, glad you enjoyed it!

Taking the valve off a AF tank only takes a few seconds and you managed to bugger that up tremendously and destroy the valve in the process too… 🙄

How about you buy some plane tickets from NYC to Florida, spend about two weeks down there so Tony can still do what he does to make a living and meet with you when it’s convenient for him and do all the work for free?

Tony had said some time earlier that he didn’t feel comfortable giving access to someone he did not personally know to do the work needed. Not knowing this, I can see why you might be asking. Others have offered help too, but I think that he is familiar with whomever he is hiring for the work and since this is his baby, that is his right to do so.
Besides… something else you are not aware of is that even though he may have posted this thread asking for donations, as I recall, he was actually prompted to do so by another member who suggested that he do so and other members had agreed that it was a good idea.

I got one small paypal coming your way dude… Huantedmyst won the bid on the bushings I posted and I am just going to save a step with getting the money to you buy having him just paypal you the funds for the bushings… Its not much wish it could have been more, but it is what it is…
I ever get our house ready to sale we just moved out of, it will be a load of me on this end for really. I will be able to help more then and will.
The guys at airgunadvice have helped me and they have a wonderful forum as well, that I have donated funds to from time to time as well. I need to send them some also… Damn money gets in the way of everything dude…

I actually had to stop spam on a friends forum about a week ago and it is actually quite simple. It looks like this forum is out of date, so the first thing you should do is update to the current version of phpBB. Once you have done that adding a simple registration question like: “4 + _ = 12 Fill in the blank space” will stop any bots trying to sign up.
If you do go the route of registration questions make sure that copying and pasting the question into Google won’t give a correct answer. At first I added this question: “What is 4 + 6” But the bots have gotten smarter and they will copy the question, paste it into Google and then copy the answer Google gives and paste it into the answer box on the forum.
