Q:

Did you see this (NEW)

AirForce Airguns

Your Thursday Sneak Peek!
AirForce will be introducing a new trigger group and safety at SHOT Show next week. The trigger is crisper and has less travel for cleaner shots while the new manual safety offers both the ability to set the gun to safe at any time.

Both the new trigger and the safety are designed for maximum quiet.

The new trigger group should start shipping on new guns starting in February.

Stay tuned here for more peeks and daily video and photo reports from SHOT 2013.

I’ve been considering another Airforce rifle for some time. Have had a .22 SS since they first came out and is still in factory config. Why its proved to be an accurate rifle, it couldn’t keep up with the FX’s and Matadors in the lineup. I’m about to get one of Tony’s .25 AAA’s and put it thru the ringer next to the others. This new Condor does bear a sneaking if understated resemblance to Tony’s fine works.

Check out there Facebook wall under the picture of the new trigger I asked if this will solve the unwanted safety discharge there response was we didn’t know that was a problem.

LMAO! They just skipped the thousands of posts to find the one about a 17″ barrel.

I found a post of mine from May 2009 saying they needed to lengthen the frame on the condor and use 17″ barrel.

But I think Roachcreek having it actually done made them take notice and just take that idea.

I think they really made a mistake on their new safety and how you have to shoot your gun and can not uncock it.

I hope we can take the new safety off without to much issue.

How do u uncock the rifle without pulling the trigger and holding the breach?

We may be missing the boat on the trigger system.

If it is beefy enough to hold a heavy hammer spring, it may be an improvement.

Time will tell.

RC

I predict that by the end of 2013, there will be a mod available for the new safety 😉

Actually Andro, give TAG a few years and AIrForce will follow.

To me af is like apple. Visionary and on the good way. Sometime difficult to understand but give them few years and everybody will follow

Ever since I removed my safety I have felt truly safe. I never did like making sure the muzzle was pointed in a safe direction each time I engaged the safety. Wow! no way to de-cock the gun. I guess they don’t realize that these guns are primarily hunting guns and not plinking.

It’s okay that they have (if it goes to production) a Desert Tan frame (like the one on the PA blog) like mine. I don’t mind, I don’t think I patented that particular color 🙂

As I see it, the major problem with the new safety is

So who screwed the first full size shroud on the the 24″ condor , anybody know???

Hell i think that we all have thought , wouldnt it be cool to have a frame that extended out enought to put a shroud in it and use the 24″ or 18 ” barrel. I know i have since the first time i ever saw a shround on a condor.

this is the reason i bought air force, so i could be quite, never thought the impact of the pellet could be so loud.

kudos to RC for getener done!!!
