Q:

To be or not to be, meaning single or multi….

So, I am facing the choice, either to spend another half a year/one year to make the multi shot breech for Matador .30 or to make 100 long R3 Matadors .30 single shot withing few months, with new valve (more solid to the energy) and new hammer (heavier especially for .30).

What do you think?

I vote for Single shot .30

There is absolutely no need for multishot version of .30 cal

Single shot is like having a muzzle loader. Very stupid.

If you make it a multi shot, you can still shoot it in single shot mode or make loading tray to shoot single shot.

quote AKay:

I prefer a multi-shot. I would buy a 30cal multi-shot in a heart beat. It is not about a quick followup shot. It is about not having to mess with loading a pellet by hand, every time I want to pull the trigger. I mostly hunt and would rather have less worry about loading the next pellet. I would also rather see shorter length guns (again I walk around and would gladly give up shot count for mobility).

I’m with AKay on this one. I prefer multishots. I just don’t like messing with pellets for each shot. But if Ed is going to improve the valve and hammer and possibly a new valve stem I would be in favor of building more singles w the improvements going out to current owners.

Single shot in the big bore stuff makes the most sense to me, Love my 30 Short.

I think a slick operating multi shot in most calibers something the market wants and is nice for target shooting and hunting.
However I like my .30 as a single shot.
A bit slower and more deliberate rate of fire isn’t much of a hindrance considering the price of the pellets and more air usage. Plus their size makes them easy to handle.
There are calibers better suited for making many holes. The .30 is a one and done.Repeat.
I’d go for a upgraded valve/hammer.

I think that there will be a request for the multi-shots.
The multi-shots always has a practical side in all the situations.
Continue to work on the multi-shots prototype breech for Matador .30.
I test the multi-shots on a short matador it’s very nice, the accuracy is superb, I like it.
Even if my vote is a little late here is my choice:
Model standard matador .30 with multi-shot breech with new shot valve (more solid to the energy) and new hammer (heavier especially for .30)
Thanks.

Hi Ed
Congratulations on R3, but could you, if you please, send Spain a multishot kit for 5.5?
I need it because I broke the bolt hole where
screw that secures it and am waiting for the kit, not to buy the bolt.
I said as I could use pago.Y and R3.
Thank you so much.

Is there any chance you will give a final answer on if you will or will not be producing multishot kits for the R3 22 and 25? And if so when?

Thanks,

Just have the pellets marked like Ed marks all of his guns as .22s. :biggrinn: Your good as long as they don’t open them or look at the hole in the end of the barrel. 😯

That is just what I wanted to suggest 🙂

Ed

Dears, Edward and Coda,,,

The damn security here is very easily open all packages and check everything ,,,carton by carton,,, even they are opening a pellet tins,,, if they see the size of the .30cal pellets ,,,they will think that is a Tank bullets,,, (since they are considering an air rifle as a shotgun ,,,hahah)

i am suffering with all of these mentality and stupid policies ,,,,, but as i always said ,,,i will not stop,,,,and try to import the .30cal pellets this time,,, i just send an email to Rojal company for the purpose ,,, May God make it easy for me,,, amen, ,,

Edit; Edward,

you informed all the .30cal owners that your .30cal Matadors are performing the best with JSB 44gr ,,,,,, so, what will be the best pellet weight for this time ???
thanks

It’s like Christmas has come early !!

I’ve been kicking myself ever since I missed out on last years run of the .30 cal Matador 😥

Ed, an e-mail will be with you very soon, I’m not missing out a second time !

Keep up the good work Ed !

I put them to the assembling schedule already, so guys from US can contact Tony to preorder the gun (no prepayment as in the last time). The other part of the world either contact you local dealer to reserve it or in case you have no dealer in your region contact me directly.
