Q:

Just a couple photos. Graphic.

Went out to a place I usually reserve for winter shooting. Took my .25 wst cricket and Leica rangefinder. The young pigeons were not too bright. They wanted to land on some spilt grain about 80 yards from my hide. My pickup in the shade of a barn. After I shot one they continued to return. Usually they shy from the dead birds but these seemed drawn to them. Gotta love young birds. I shot 14 straight birds befor a miss. Ranged from 78 – 92 yards. Slight r- l breeze. Figure the holdover hold 2-3 moa off and bam. The 25 cricket at 950 fps just slams them. Even got one double. Also shot 10 or so more but were either on top of barns or in corrals. Thought I’d share a couple photos.

Yes it definitely will, especially when you point the gun down.

Hurry and get your order in and let me know how they shoot.

I am really liking my 22 Cricket so far I have just shot the JSB 18.13 very good pellet so far,,, I do miss the POP of the 25 Cal Marauder on the sparrows with the Polymag 26gr. I got some H&N hollow points I have not tried in the 22 cricket yet maybe I will get the pop back. The Cricket is shooting about 900 FPS and the Marauder about 880 FPS most shots are at 35 to 48 yards, Yes its an over kill but I hate to wound them . :winkn: :winkn: :winkn:
I am going to put me an order in for the 22 Cricket Polymag as every one so far says the 22 cricket will cycle them ok in the Mag,, And I really like the way the Polymag preforms in the 25 Marauder… Hope to do the same in the 22 Cricket…

Actually, it’s no secret! Prior to the invention of the BBS (British Broadcasting System) we would read newspapers and complain. Then the World War came about and everyone got killed, except myself, and a few other slackers. After my mandatory six months in the trenches, I was posted to the mule requisition group, and served out the rest of the conflict in relative safety…except for those damned bi-planes dropping rocks and such on our heads back in ’17. Damned Huns!

I’m a lot older than my posts would indicate.

Hoot:

hahaha nice that was pretty quick on the draw, did you pre-write that just in case someone asked you what life was like in the dark ages?

What did guys like you do before BBS were invented, my god. I always wondered what happened to the old grumpy fools that used to drink free coffee and complain incessantly at the trap range….oh wait there they are…all good found em.

You might be right. Maybe a 300 Win Mag is the right cartridge for a Rock pigeon. :4:

Oh!

Hoot:

PS: What’s a “Rock Pigeon”? (…wouldn’t a pellet bounce off something like that?)

   Passenger Pigeons are extinct. Of course with cloning and a viable source of DNA they can be brought back. I would rather see the saber-toothed tigers brought back. 😉

Also that’s the last time I post any pigeon pictures. Hells bells who wants to get caught by the pigeon police. Ha. Lmao.
