Sub 12fpe section
The information and opinion submitted to this forum is undoubtedly both useful and entertaining but for me it can be a bit confusing. While the majority of postings originate in the non power regulated U.S.A. some is from the U.K. where our laws limit us to 12fpe. Not all the advice given here is therefore applicable to U.K. based rifles and it’s all too easy to get the ‘wrong end of the stick’ when seeking a solution to a U.K. based problem.
Would there be any support for a new section dedicated to sub-12fpe rifles where Brits and American low power shooters could pool their specific experience and knowledge?

Those adapters look great!! You wouldn’t happen to be in the States, would you? If you’re in the UK, you wouldn’t be able to post one to the States would you?
just buy a 20 barrel and turn it down to fit stealth I made one out of a webley hawk mk2 177 barrel not hard to do with a lathe and I never used a lathe before I brought it a few months ago
I make my own end adapter for half inch unf silencer and just made a frame finisher for longer barrel

No, it is unregulated, if not for the “poor man’s regulator (2 o-rings behind the top hat).

It’s done, 200 pellets, different types downrange at sub or slightly over 12 fpe.
Used almost exactly 1000 psi in total (3000 psi down to 2000).
Think you can give it a go.

I had some time to do some stats, not that much, but will give you a good idea.
Used a 15.5 gr .22 pellet and cranked the power a little down in order to stay sub 12 fpe.
The result is that sending 50 shots downrange I went from 3000 psi to 2750 psi, meaning 250 psi for 50 pellets.
The consumption not being exactly but close to linear, this brings you close to 200 shots for 1000 psi used. Starting from 3000, you will still have plenty of air left in the bottle …

I’ve got a Talon SS .22, prepared by Tony from Talon Tunes, standard spin-loc tank, tuned to 20J which should equal 14.8 fpe, running on HPA.
A shot count of 100 is easily acheivable in my opinion.
I didn’t do the exact stats yet, but 2 weeks ago, I was off for the week with the Talon at a friend’s. We shot every day, went down from 3000 to 2000 PSI and had well over 100 pellets down range.
As soon as I’ve done exact stats, I’ll share, but I’m quite confident that at 12 fpe, you’re OK with the desired shot count.
By the way I’m pumping myself using a Hill Mk3, back up to 3000 was an issue of no more than 5 minutes.
