Q:

Hummingbird; an observation of the shroud and accuracy

When it comes to accuracy it seems my Bird is partial to a vertical alignment of the shroud holes. That is also the position they are in when the shroud is snugged up. I’ve aligned the holes of the baffles with the shroud holes. When I turned the holes to point east and west, the accuracy went unpredictable within a 3/4 inch circle. at only 9 yards. Turn them back to north and south and the accuracy returns. Curious sensitivity. I’d think there was a slight imbalance with that orientation. Maybe that works? The bottom-escaping air makes light deposits on the top of the air reservoir.

PSI had to send my Bird in to Peter for that blowby at the breech. As noted elsewhere, the Bird suddenly popped an inner seal somewhere and dumped all it’s air.

Received a call from Charlie this morning and he is sending mine out today.
He said it’s shooting 18.1 at 879 with no blowback :8:

Matt where is my #9 in the processing?
Thanks
Dave

Perry’s order was the first order for the HB, easy to remember as his order was the only order that consisted of 2 birds. I processed the orders Thursday evening so some customers are gonna be very happy next week.

Perry, what number were your orders? Mine is number 9.
Thanks
Dave

Charlie from WWAG called me today. Said he has test fire and group both my guns. No blowback issues and groups very well. They are on a Fed-ex truck today. This is good news.

As it should be!!

Steve told me that Charlie will check every HB for correct function before they are sent out.

Mine shooting sub MOA at 50 yards. 3 mags from 200 to 120 bar. No blowback from the breech. No complain.

Gus, that’s great! I wanted a sleek and accurate bull pup with a bit of a difference (the side-cocking bolt is pretty neat). Of course it’s the finger behind the trigger, and your trigger finger is pretty good ! :biggrinn:

Gus,
I’ll have to wait to see what Petr tells me, but of course I’ll pass on anything I can. How is your BH performing for you? It’s been pretty quiet here with no one posting about their Colibri.
darryl

Can you find out what is being done to the rifle? Just my curiosity. Thanks.

Gus

Just a small update. Petr received my HB for service. WIll have first opportunity to check it out this coming Saturday. Hopefully something simple. I’m looking forward to getting it out to the range so I can see how well it performs. I hope it’s going to be a sub-MOA performer out to 50 yards.
Darryl

Well, ironcross, I call that stepping up to clarify WWAG’s position. Much appreciated.
