Q:

Villes ATL Vulcan .22

I´ll fix more pics later but here´s the first impression: Very nicely build, walnut stocked little and well balanced Gun. The trigger is superbly crisp and immensenly adjustable. It´s easy to work on – as is the norm with the Russian/ Czech Guns in general.

what pellets were u using? 🙄

JSP 18 gr 885fps . When i shoot again , i’ll try 16 gr at about 940fps

Mine shoots ridiculously well with 16gr at between 930 – 950 but the air consumption goes up when pushed over 935 fps.

Tjihii ..

For 75 yards doesn’t look to bad to me.

Not bad at all for me. I am sure the gun can do much better with other experience shooters. 2 things i don’t like though, the loud ping, and bolt mechanism. It’s easy to double load if you don’t pay attention while fast shooting. Unlike other guns, the bolt rotates the mag before engaging the sear. So you have to lock or remove mag before pulling the bolt fully again.

Hi all, this is my 75 yrds target. I shot with the wind. My Vulcan .22 is relatively new , only 1k pellets through it.

And this is my edgun r3 . I know it might be my shooting that messed the score, not the gun.

I did not measure the groups, but here is the target paper , the small square is 1″ and the center one is 4″

Thanks and best regards

It´s not a problem at all. Everyone can fill to 250bar if have enough compressed air. I have hand pump Hill Mk2 so I have to be very efficiency with shooting.

I think every regulator will wasting air above 220 bar there is no existing some miracle regulator which do not waste air…

Hi Octavius,

it’s not a critics to the Vulcan, I just wanted to know.

I don’t know if this 220 bar “limit” of regulators in handling efficienctly compressed air is a law of physics or mechanics but if it is solely a tecnological issue then sooner or later that will get improved and it would be interesting to know when that happens.

Great! Now i don’t have to try that myself.

Ditto….I’ve never seen anyone post otherwise!

Hi Ville,

good to hear you are happy with the Vulcan.

One thing that would be interesting to know is if also the regulator of this gun is “wasting” air above 220 bars or if you can fill it to 250 bars without backdraws.

Thanks in advance 😀

ATB

I’ll do that next time out. I’ll count the shots from 250 B to 220 B and then again from 220 B to 190 B.

If you both would allow me , I have an answer although my Vulcan is a 177 cal.
From 250 to 225 bar I shot 2 mags whereas from 225 to 200 I shot 3 mags.
Therefore, the answer is yes. The reg wastes air above 220.
