Villes ATL Vulcan .22
I´ll fix more pics later but here´s the first impression: Very nicely build, walnut stocked little and well balanced Gun. The trigger is superbly crisp and immensenly adjustable. It´s easy to work on – as is the norm with the Russian/ Czech Guns in general.

Wake the hell up and test that gun ville, it’s Friday sucka and you ain’t got shit to do.
Here’s some sexy music to get you in the mood
Wild West AG says he hopes to get the .25 caliber in by next Summer…that’s too long!
Hoot:
Cool.
That was my exact thought too. I simply have no time for airgunning – not even for one gun – at the moment.
I´ll take you a pic tomorrow : The Compact and the Volcano side-by-side. Then you´ll see how they compare – sizewise. Fair enough ??
I´m also off to the range tomorrow to shoot the ´Cano for the first time. I took the day off for that … As said – no time.
In my infinite wisdom i realized one minor detail while packing things for tomorrow : I have lots of .177 pellets and whole lot of .25´s too. What i don´t have , not one lousy pellet , is .22´s. Well – i bribed a friend with cupious amounts of pellets on the shelf so he´ll hang on tomorrow. And take some different .22´s with him. I thought the .22 Gun will shoot better groups with .22´s than it does with .177´s or .25´s .. :fishinghole:
Yes Hoot: . It´s available in .25. No question about that . Costs just 50€ more. Here´s a link to my friend/vendor in the Land of my Fathers: Finland. Good luck translating 😉

He has two left from this shipment. These babies go in a hurry. The .22´s are sold out. New batch in April.

My Stubby Talon shoots a .25 just fine (but uses a bit of air) with a 12″ barrel. 900 FPS and accurate is no problem.
thank you,
darryl
670mm long. The mag holds 11 shots for the .22.
Hold the phone here Vile….you are saying this thing is 26.3 inches long???
By the way, that barrel is plenty long for a .25 caliber. Back in the Talon days we were using 12 to 17 inches and getting plenty of fps/fpe! Personally, if it really is available in .25 caliber, I’d seriously consider buying one.
Kindest regards,
Uncle Hoot:
I have so much fun with my baby Cricket in .177 I may opt for another .177 Vulcan. I have itty bitty finger tips so the little pellets are no problem. I even got one raccoon with a head shot a few weeks ago from BC. Speaking of I saw the first groundhog out on a cycle ride Tuesday!!!
” Wait out for a .25″ ?? It`s actually out already – like a Queer on a Parade. But … It has the same 450mm barrel than the .177 & .22 and the same 280 cc air tube too. Too short / too little for a .25. The 450 mm barrel is enough for the smaller calibers but not for a .25 cal to be able to build the speed needed to get over 800 fps or so. It´s not efficient for air usage either and that combined with the small air tube spells low shot count in below average power.
They need to have a 600 mm barrel and bigger (longer) AT for the .25 , IMHO.
Hoot:
It locks the loading pin in its rearward position for mag changes etc.
thanks again Villes. Good luck with it! It looks like a sweet one.

There are to drop-down notches in the cocking lever slide opening. What is the rear drop down used for?
Hoot:
Wow Ville from the pics, it appears that this is a quality build, and a robust build too. I really want to get one, but think I’ll make myself hold out for a .25 cal…. that’ll give you brave souls the opportunity to run the .22’s through their paces and report on your findings… So far, I really like what I’ve seen… Good quality, and stock wood looks way above average too… being a lefty, that ambidextrous bolt is a real bonus. I’m still struggling with the cocking lever in my jaw with my crickets…
I´ll give you a couple of bad pics :
There´s a slight difference between the 7-10 J spring and the one for full power. The HST adjuster on the side.

A pic of the trigger housing and one can see the measly 7 J spring with the spacer. The spacer is drop-kicked when going for full tilt.

These other two pics need no explanation ..

.
Nice buy there Sir Ville !!!
I like the cocking lever, it can be reversed for lefties.
But I would think for me as a righty it maybe somewhat better to hold the foregrip with my left hand and cock with the right ?
Cool and easy to try anyway ………… … . a new 14 shades of gray.
