Pippy,
If I bought a Morana it twould be for bench use only. Maybe hunting from a stationary position.

Fat ass,
I like simple single shot guns.

I would like to have a .30 also. I don’t understand why they are so expensive, over .25 calibers. There’s not that much difference in design.

A simple single shot would be fine. Hoot:

Magnificient Uncle  :hoot: ,

I think the only reason for this is because of the competitors in the .30 caliber segment, they are all overpriced and there is no reason why the matador .30 should cost less than an fx for example.

Honestly IMHO a R3M at 1350 USD for you US friends was a real competitive and fair price.

As you all know I don’t like the multishot mechanism of the matador (it takes too much off my concentration) and unfortunately the R3 (singleshot) is no longer available but at that price I would have taken a few of them in different calibers 😀 .

Ed likes you US friends better 😀 that’s why you get the better prices.

Hi Soze,

I confirm, I’ve never seen a .30 matador, so I can’t say anything about it. 😀

Nevertheless if it is a single shot, therefore R3 like, it must be a nice gun (as usually, the trigger probably could be improved).

Leadbetter,

concerning the Morana, the only thing I want to say is, if you have the possibility to shoulder it before purchase then please do it.

My personal opinion is that probably it’s not everybody’s cup of tea.

Happy shooting!

this is me getting ready for my jog, the dr says my blood pressure will get better if I exercise more :biggrinn:

hey leadie, why you so hating a 0.3 multishot? ❓

Here’s a idear………………. How aboot a Morana .30 with a hand lapped barrel, 2oz single stage trigger, and a 20 MOA integral base 🙂

Edit: and a three inch wide forearm

How fat are you? You do the analogy to your obesity pretty often.

Agreed!

Fatdude, there’s better ways to “jizz your pants…” Consult your right hand for details.

I hate the buggers because I had to dodge them with my plane at the airfield. Nearly hit a few.

quote FatDude:

ed, no disrespect, i think you could have done with a multishot to finish the seagull off! :4: :4:

0.30 multishot – the thought of this made me jizz in my fat pants.

Hi Ed,

Will the all metal valve stems work on the old 30s? Will any other new parts work in the old 30s?

Thanks!!!

quote Ed:

.30 standards and long are being assembled in Estonia now. They will be sent to EU customers next week. For US customers I wait Lelya, Veles, Morana to be assembled, just got barrels for them. Hope it will happen at the end of May, then I will send alltogether.

The changes I did to R3 .30.

1. Heavier hammer.
2. Metal valve.
3. Closed filling port with the cup.
4. New design of moderator
5. New design of the frong breech.

I have few unreserved lnog and standards in caliber .30 now, so those who wants them contact Tony.

That is 78 meters, standard EDgun Matador R3 (single shot), 885 f/sec, pellet JSB 2.9 grams. Power of the gun enough to tore off the wing of seegull (quite a big bird).
