swapped to my preferred backyard ammo….crowmagnums….crap at range…but within my 40y they are good enough….and they get the job done reliably with no ricochet ….im loving my vulcan
and you were worried about 30FPS….
THE VULCAN IS AWESOME…hmm better move to the vulcan thread.
it arrived !!! and i like it ! a lot ! Thanks Tony….fuck you UPS
1 take tonys chrony printout…..get avg put into chairgun
2 mount scope a bushnell legend 5-15×40 and daniel defence 1 piece offset mount and measure scope to barrel distance and plug into chairgun
3 fill rifle a bit, it allready had 150 bar in it
4 chairgun calculate optimum zero range
5 place lawn chair and table 22y away from target
6 mount the sumo
7 fire at large cardboard box just to see where everything is at….must have been lucky was about 1″ high and to the right
8 dail in scope…first magazine done
9 second magazine….shoot at dots on cardboard….be very pleased that dot is punktured every single funcking time
10 smile from ear to ear
11 hear crows….hmmmm…rangefinder not needed i know they are 80 yards and 16 degrees up …find a good rest aim 5.5″ high (thanks chairgun)
12 pull trigger, see crow get hammered right under neck in a frontal shot and just fall backwards…lucky shot prolly…but it made contact on second magazine ever fired through rifle, THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME!
rifle came well packaged, the gun case is nice but on the tight side once scope is mounted…but it all fits ..no room for a 56mm scope though…the wood is nice but a bit boring (my powder burning friends thought it looked awesome) its not theoben nice….but finish is nice and i havent found any flaws in the wood or metal.
rifle came with a fill probe with quickconnect that didnt fit my female QC on my tank…no clue why not…i took one of my talon fill dodad…and made it work….there was also a scuba fill kit in the box…those are normally 100 bucks….nice…but i already have one…..2 mags..gonna have to get more…i also got the side lever kit for the rifle…i havent tried the factory standard cocking knob, but the lever works great…its on the left side of the rifle….im not sure im gonna keep it there, as i find my self moving my right hand up to cock the rifle….there was two tins of JSB kings to go along with the rifle…awesome !
Tony gave a very good deal that fit my budget literally …we had a ton of emails back and fourth always courteous and in a timely manner…cant thank him enough.
i am still getting used to the pup…its quite different from anything i own….shouldering and holding on target is something i have to get used to…the trigger feels like a single stage the way it is now, its light enough to my liking, there is sometimes a bit a creep, but usually i find my self just applying pressure and get surprised when it goes off….i have a sneaking suspesion that with a couple hundred pellets through it im gonna get very comfy with it.
my only negatives so far are few…pellets ricochet, on my regular targets. that rarely happens with my other guns…so im not sure whats going on…think the power is just low enough for it to bounce off instead of penetrate into the wood….the shot sound is very metallic, but it is very quiet with the sumo
all in all i really dig this rifle, Thanks Tony

yup 2 more days to go …i can barely contain my self….
Vulcan is on the way!!!
comes with a sumo 🙂
Vulcans are cool guns indeed.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with picking the second best pcp in the world…although I wouldn’t mind owning both. That side lever is absoutely to die for! It’s stock is beautiful, balance is great, trigger is excellent, accuracy is better than you will ever get.
Personally, I need short and dead quiet. Put a DonnyFL Sumo 8″ on that Vulcan and all you will hear are your nuts clacking together when you pull the trigger!!!
Hoot:
well the vulcan is ordered….i couldnt wait for the next shipment of veterans to come in
I no longer look for a “better” pcp, because I found one that has no discernible flaws, is way beyond my ability with accuracy, is deadly quiet, and is as reliable as any upper end ,25 pcp on the market. What more does a body want??? This gun is a hands down keeper.
For what it’s worth…this is my honest opinion.
Hoot:
+1 :8:
Veteran = THE BULLPUP!
The best bullpup money and bitcoins can buy

If you put a DonnyFL moderator on either the Veteran, or the Vulcan, you will achieve the necessary silence you need. I’ve owned both guns and they are without doubt the two most reliable, and well featured, high powered pcp’s on the market today in the bullpup style.
My current choice is the Veteran .25 Short, with a Ronin on the end. I don’t say this lightly…all I can hear is the hammer slap and pellet impact, and that is an honest fact. My neighbors are about 30 feet from my house and they can’t tell what I’m doing while they sit in their screened in porch. There are two flaws in the Veteran, no mid-lever, and a “bulky” stock that adds weight and detracts from looks of the gun.
Currently, the Veteran Short is my top choice, but the Vulcan has that mid=level lever action that is very very handy. That being said, I still shoot single shot. The Edgun was/is SO accurate, I couldn’t miss. Given a solid rest and a decent scope, it was always one shot, one kill. Now the market offers some equal accuracy as the Eastern European’s step up their game and offer some really good alternatives.
You are a lucky guy…you can’t go wrong with either of the choices you have narrowed down…now it’s a matter of length, weight, “feel” of the stock (Vulcan wins hands down), and overall style that fits your shooting needs.

PS: Here’s a good one:
A man returns home a day early from a business trip. It’s after midnight.
While en-route home, he asks the cabby if he would be a witness, because the man suspects his wife is having an affair and he wants to catch her in the act.
For $100, the cabby agrees.
Quietly arriving home, the husband and cabby tip toe into the bedroom. The husband switches on the lights and yanks the blanket back. There is his wife, naked as a jay bird, with a man, totally nude also.
The husband puts a gun to the naked man’s head.
The wife shouts, “Don’t do it! I lied when I told you I inherited money”.
“HE paid for the Porsche I gave you”.
“HE paid for your new 25 ft. Ranger Fishing Boat..”
“He paid for your two new Vulcan and Veteran pcp airguns…”
“HE paid for your Football season tickets..”
“HE paid for our house at the lake.”
“HE paid for your Golf Trip to St Andrews and your new 4 x 4.”
“HE paid for our country club membership and he even pays the monthly dues.”
“And because of HIM, I can put an extra $2,000 in our checking account each month.”
Shaking his head from side-to-side, the husband lowers the gun. He looks over at the cabby and says, ‘What would you do’?
The cabby replies, ‘I’d cover him with that blanket before he catches a cold!!!”
