Q:

R5 dangerous failure

R5 probably has a construction defect that can be seriously dangerous. Ed, where is the armored endurance you were talking about? where is the instruction with which force to tighten the bolt? it looks like a nasty joke made to us, faithful fans of your brand!

I was wondering the same thing.
Is this for just one end user fix for idiocy or can one do without this factory update if he doesn’t forget to tighten the screw, or is it unsafe to keep it simpler ?

man, it must be serious when photo model guns need this upgrade too!

Thanks Nefarion for highlighting the issue.

It looks just solid! Worth installing for sure and takes about 15 minutes (max) plus requires just 3 hex wrenches. Easy job.

Right. Question is if there was a design flaw in R5 or what? He is not clear if this mod is crucial.

Looks like ed has sorted it :8:

it is a shame they removed that video account i quite liked the indonesian version of the Impact too

Yeah, true. It is worth making fakes. Like with paintings. There are a lot of Leonardo DaVinci’s paintings but not all of them are original.

Is it an improved version of R5 (monoblock)?

Actually, it is EDgun and KalibrGun trapped in one gun. What a synergy!

🙂 If they make false EDgun it means it has good potential to be sold out 🙂

This is probably the regional location where the guns are made.

Interesting! did they indicate what these side levers are going to be used on?

Ed, it is good to see you on here standing up for your product. I’m really really interested in buying the Edgun R5M .25 cal. when they come to USA, hopefully through Edgun West.
Is the Edgun R5M going to be mid-lever cocking and can you tell us more about them yet?

I hope to give information about R4M within next couple of weeks.

Thanks for the quick follow up Ed. Look forward to it!

You the kind of brave keyboard kook that if you had to spend a day out with me would go home crying and hide under momma’s skirt for the forecastable future

Sorry man, please accept my apologies.

Didn’t know your hunting crusades were so impressive

And to go back on topic….

Please check that the screws of your R5 are well tightened when you go into those dangerous situations otherwise it may become dangerous for real.
