I think someone should make an Alien Pellet. Then there could be Alien VS. Predator comparisons. like in the movies. 😆

No, most of the time it doesn’t matter but it depends on the wholesaler/distributor. I had a computer retail & consulting business in the 80’s & 90’s and would order other stuff that were not related to computers like Electronics (VCR’s, TV’s, etc.), car/speed parts, bought some guns through wholesalers too, even jewelry. The only problem with some wholesalers is that you have to buy a minimum # of units but I usually made sure I had buyers lined up or would by like 10 VCR’s (self-cleaning 4-head was big back then, hehe) for relatives that I had already collected $ from, etc. Oh I bought some mechanic’s/automotive tool sets too.

If your company or sub-S corporation name does not say “Joe’s Deli”, it makes it easier but most of the time they don’t question what kind of retail business you have, and ship the stuff as long as you fax them your resale certificate. Some wholesalers asked me anyway “what kind of business do you have, or what kind of stuff do you resell..?) and I would lie and say I have a store front and sell a variety of stuff. I had a sub-S Corporation with a name (acronym of my wife’s intials & mine) and DBA (doing business as) High Speed Technology, which could be interpreted as different things. The DBA name could be anything (Joe Blow’s, etc.), and as long as the sub-S Corp. name is just letters/initials, they have no way of knowing what kind of business you ‘re engaged in. Now if you don’t have a sub-s Corp, and just a single business name, it could be hard to conceal what you normally sell, BUT..

Try it, you got nothing to lose. I really don’t think they can refuse selling to you as long as you have the reseller certificate. You can always say you ‘re in the midst of changing the business and the products you deal in, and you have not gotten around to officially changing the DBA name. Long after I closed my computer business I used my DELI business reseller certificate to buy computer parts wholesale, even when it was clear in the DBA name that it was a Delicatessen. The wholesalers didn’t care as long as they got their $, but I also did business with them before when I actually had the computer business so that might have helped.

I ‘m not sure why PrecisionAirgun Distribution would say they are the “exclusive import distributors” of JSB pellets, when TopGun imports their own too. Maybe because PAD is the “official” distributor that sells to most or all other resellers, and TopGun just goes behind their back skipping the middle man (PAD) and JSB allows it.

I have a store front and resale license I can use. Would they gripe if it didnt have gun in the company name? )

well just buy a pallet for your self, and not publicly sell it, i understand if you want to make a business out if it….you have to go through the trouble of setting up a businness…..but if 10 guys made a jointly buy i dont see the problem, the investment would be about 400 bucks….but you would have pellets for a loooooong time….and could possible resell a tin or two to friends and get your money back.

i was mentioning prices in DK because i know them, of course one would go direcktly to chekoslovakia, and have them shipped by sea…it is lead after all it weighs a ton….

TopGun airgun imports JSB him self, so AOA is not the only one here in the states

i have personally talked to JSB, because if was about to order a shitload my self, but when i heard the prices which was back 3½ years ago, it was just too much for my self to put on the table…and i dont know if there would be any customs problems with airgun ammo, or if you need an import license for it….neither do i know what kind of customs fees and taxes might be added either

Shipping a Pallet by sea is cheap as chips. The issue at hand is all that comes along with that and the reselling, as mentioned.

Oh, and fuck AoA (they pissed me off a long time ago).

oooooh i didn’t know it did it to every post good thing i haven’t posted a lot 😀 i tried shrinking it it didn’t work its no big deal its just a picture

When you change it for one post it adds it to every post youve ever made. The pic was fine just shrink it down some so it doesnt boot all the posts off the screen to make room for it.

you should start a thread on that and basicly say what you just wrote see what happens word can spread you might get lucky… 😉

and i didnt know it was that big it wasn’t suppose to be that big but i got rid of it it was only on that one post 😆 😛

That or only post in your own threads ). When your avatar is messing with other folks posts its time for a new avatar. that thing would be to big for a sig let alone an avatar.

Might want to resize your avatar…. 😛

Since we are talking about JSB pellets here are the facts in the US.

The exclusive JSB pellet importer/distributor is Precisionairgun (.com) Diststribution (aka PAD) which is guess who? AOA = AirgunsofArizona! Every retailer in the country gets the JSB pellets from them. They are also the exclusive importer of Daystate, BSA, FX, etc. Have you noticed how expensive these guns are?

If you look at AOA’s web site,, you ‘ll see they have the highest price on JSB pellets because they cannot compete with their clients – the retailers they sell JSB’s to, like Pyramyd and all the others.
And you are right on the $. PAD/AOA holds on to the JSB’s to drive the price up. Pyramyd has even said that on the phone to me.

What we need is 2 distributors. One on the West Coast and 1 on the East Coast. Then none of them would be playing games like that, because if they got together and held shipments to drive the price up, that would be illegal. If enough people wrote and complained to JSB in Cseckoslovakia (chk sp.) or wherever they are, they might consider doing something about it. I ‘m pretty sure the airgunning sport has grown so much in the last decade with the explosion of the Internet, that the demand for pellets can justify and finanacially support 2 importers.

And going back to what you said, it’s nearly impossible for someone in the US to buy a pallet from PAD/AOA, unless you have a reseller (retailer) license. This means you have a business/proprietorship, Corporation, etc. and pay sales tax quartely to your state (I ‘ve had 2 businesses..). Wholesalers only sell to businesses that possess a valid reseller license. You could probably make a deal with PA because they buy the stuff by the pallet, but you ‘d pay much more $ and it wouldn’t be worth it. Freight shipping would eat up your profits anyway.
The only way to get prices to come down is to boycott AOA and not buy JSB’s for a couple of months and shoot other pellets. Then you ‘ll see how quickly they ‘ll go on sale.

yeah i dont have 4 grand laying around 😯 😥
and denmark is a little far to go for pellets 😛 (wisconsin to denmark= way to far 😀
