I’m curious to see if anyone with the standard version thinks it is as quiet as mine.
Recall I am blind in my left eye, partially deaf, note that I was lying on the floor when I took that photo, and those aren’t my real teeth.
Growing old is a bitch, pure and simple. No I wasn’t drunk. I crawled into the gun room because I was under the influence of medicinal herbs found here in the mountains, commonly used to stimulate appetite, ease menstural cramps, and calm nerves.
I wasn’t smiling because I was happy about the Edgun….I was wondering why the hell I was lying on the floor, stoned out of my mind, taking a picture of my face next to two air guns???
As soon as my mounts arrive, I’m gonna drink breakfast and go outside and see if that Edgun can punch some Predators through the kevlar vests the old bitch next door is putting on her damn chickens!

PS: Damn near stepped on a water moccasain on my porch this morning. My dog went after him before I got closer than the 12″ where he was lying. They sometimes come up around the house looking for toads and frogs. Snake took off before the dog could get his teeth on him. Fast snake, lucky dog.

Congrats HOOT on a fine air rifle. Here is another suggestion. Go to Lowes and in the slide out drawers in hardware they have different sized black plastic plugs ( to hide screws in wooden projects ). Use one to plug the fill hole to keep out dirt and crawlers. Get you several as spares. I believe mine is a Hillman Nylon hole plug – 1/4″

I also received mine on Friday evening. …BTW, the soft case came with the short version is smaller as well, fitting the gun perfectly.
I’ve seen that from creeping through the photos in the normal (Russian) areas of the Edgun.ru forum. Ed has big cases for big guns, too.
Texas, Arkansas… that’s about 2/3 the distance of Wisconsin from FLA, and it took two days to cover that distance. hmmmmm, maybe just maybe – Tomorrow!

I also received mine on Friday evening. It is the short Matador version wearing a gray stock with the new shroud. This shroud is a little more effective and lack the sharp high pitch sound from the original shroud. Velocity was set at 840 fps with JSB 18.1 as Ed has mentioned. Accuracy is just as good compared to the standard barrel. Since then, I’ve turned the power up a little bit, now shooting at 890 fps and still managed 50 consistent shots with hardly any poi changes. I really love this short version, making it even more compact in size and even easier to carry or shouldering.
Once again, kudos to Ed for a great product and Tony for his superb support on this side of the world! Thanks guys.

The chips fall into place for Hoot to have the funds on Tuesday – makes payment – gun ships wednesday – Hoot only lives a couple states away from Tony – so, he is the first to get a gun.
I suspect a flood of “I got mine”s (including mine) early this week.

Probe is working fine. I wasn’t doing the fill right. I needed silicone grease, and to understand how to hold the probe until I got the air turned all the way up.
Operator error. At least I have several spare O rings now.
