Cheap Optics
I tend to work on you get for what you pay for. But a few of my friends are getting in to long range shooting so thought id give it a go. It is just for fun so I am looking to do it on the cheap!
So I got looking and found Vector Optics Counterpunch 6-25×56. The zoom range looked about right for what I was planning. It is mil dot that a like to use and it is front focal plane so true at any magnification. But I am worried it is going to be to cheap and just a load a junk.
Do any of you have experience with this Vector Oprics scope or any of there scopes? Or could you recommend a better one on a budget.

Leupold > Hawke Quality wise
Hawke scopes have more “bling” as you put it. But the higher end Leupolds have all the same things at a high cost.
I don’t have the 2k to dish out for a Mark 4. If I were ever to spend over 1k on a scope it’d be on a Night Force or a S&B.
Like I said, your a tower of eloquence.
I spent my career fighting, I am on this forum to talk to intelligent members about airguns and hunting.
It just simply makes me uncomfortable conversing with you.

What I said was that I researched leupolds in a way of life you would not have the balls to try.
But you have to imediately insist that you”live for pussy”, wow, what an eloquent rebuttal, then follow it up with “kiss my ass in the crack”, again a hallmark of responsable literacy
There was nothig sexual about my remark, it had to do with having the intestinal fortitude to live life on the edge, something a loser like you would never consider, but while were are on the subject sex, I would imagine a close inspection of your life, or lack there of, would reveal your sexual quirks, if fucking your hand and thinking of the poor fat girl next door could be thought of as a sexual quirk.

Deutsch : What is your opinion of the Difference between the Hawke and the Leupold scopes. I know their’s lots of Hawke users here, and they are happy, and also Talon Tunes sells um.
Did you buy a Leupold because of problems with the Hawke, rather than you just wanted to try and see what it was all about.
Roachcreek evidently you don’t know what Hijacking a thread is, blab bing on and on about How Leupolds are not cheap scopes , The Post says “CHEAP SCOPE” so what is it, you can’t read or you don’t understand what you read or you’re just plain stupid. Wanting to know more about the newer models that have passed me and my wallet by in the last few years, I read up on the Leupold website.
I learned they have changed their varix lll and varixll.
In these days when scopes get their manufaturing transfered to china where it is anybodys guess what the quality will be, Leupold took their varixlll quality and moved that quality down the line to the varixll and then called it a vxll, and now has click adjustments and the lenses the varixlll previously had. The varixlll was upgraded further with better lenses and erector system and called the vx3.
I have 3 hours left on the bidding on the old model varixlll 3x10x50 AO, which for a under 100 yard hunting scope for my personal Condor, is perfect.
If I do get it, then I will have to decide if I just want a single elevation target knob put on it and use kentucky windage for the wind which is how I do it, or do I want the mildot and leave the elevation alone. I have used both techniques and do find the mildot system a little faster, but I find adjusting the elevaton knob along with a range finder and computer printout to be more exact for me.
Condor 22, I am happy for you and your sexual oreintation, and the higher end Bushnells are quality scopes. Leuolds just give me personaly that feeling of assuarance.
Deutsch, the difference in your varixlll 6.5×20 and what you had previously must be mindboggling indeed.

DeutschKSK : Well said, Enjoy you new scope. I couldn’t justify ever a grand into a scope, either. As I’m waiting on the release of the new Vortex Viper PST, Like my scope it holds a price nich, that the others don’t have anything to compare. That’s not knocking the others, just fits my Pocket$
