2015 Lelya Pics?
Does anyone even know what the new Lelya’s look like? I’m referring to the one with the non-centric shroud. Some of us have been waiting for close to a year but have yet to see what might arrive in the next shipment.
Hoot on the other hand has been waiting for a century so I’m glad he got his.

I think Ed does give a shit. Talking to Tony R there is a lot of BS in getting these guns into the USA. It wasn’t that long ago that Ed thought he would not be able to sell guns in the USA at all. Honestly I think Ed should have moved out of Russia and into the Czech republic like Kalibrgun did. When I first got my .22 Eddie I had a lot of questions, I bothered Ed constantly about tuning and adjustment. The answers were always short and sweet but I got the impression he is a true airgunner, he loves his job and he seems to always look to improve. The long wait and mystery for parts and guns is irritating but I think a lot of the problems come from the country of origin. :3:
This might be true but a business can only make money if they deliver the goods. This holds true for the Lelyas and various Edgun parts on order. He might be listening but another side of him might not give a shit.
I have never met Ed but it sure seems obvious to me that he certainly gives a shit. If he didn’t he would not have produced such and incredible product and would not be selling it to the world. In my opinion the problem is he is trying to produce a very specialized product in a part of the world that is not business friendly. That is exacerbated by the fact that what he produces is governed by a mountain of laws that are unique to each country which makes shipping a nightmare all by itself. I expect that he can not share some of his challenges and workarounds with us with out jeopardizing his operations. Certainly there is plenty of room for improvement but I know what I am signing up for every time I contact Tony R to be put on a list. I don’t like to wait either but the wait was always worth it….

Now I recognize that top moderator. It’s an after-market and held on by a grub screw. You can see the attachment screw at the top back of the moderator and the picatinny rail has been cut off to allow it to fit. The holes are a nice touch, but apparently only in my opinion.
The bottom photos at this thread smack of reality. The moderator is obviously OEM and the picatinny rail is uncut.
A petition to Ed is a waste of time, signatures, and paper. His is a one man show and it has always been that way…he won’t bow to pressure to change or do anything. We’ve been down this road many times before.
The wait is always a bitch.

Ed is also a business man. If there is sufficient interest there is money to be made and he knows it. I don’t see any down side in providing Ed with some estimate of interest. I expect it will be significant.
Don’t be that sceptical. Oldgoat enforced Ed to deliver R2 or R2.5 in .25 cal. I do not know how he did that.
:angrymob:
Hey you can’t call my old goat of an uncle and old goat?
:hoot: :hoot: :hoot: :2:

Will this new eccentric moderator fit the old matadors? (translation from Google translator)
![]()
But if you look at the new bar (Motinov) at Lele, it is clear that the eccentric in the classical form there will not rise .. (only oblique washer) .. Rather, “oblique” goals and made under this universality Lel and matador ..
![]()
Especially it touches the Lel with “great” … There’s caliber staff modernization (direct) can not cope with the “exhaust” …
How about a new Lelya photo compilation?
First pics Ed posted of the new Lelya

Wow that scope is really far forward?

40m Group (looks like it is 5 shot?)

The gun is 55cm long

Can we first sign a petition to have Ed ship the Lelyas first?
This is a no brainier. Count me in.
I am for writing an official petition to Ed to deliver us these eccentric moderators for Matadors. .22s are silent but .25s require them for sure. Who wants to sign the petition?

:hoot: , you were always mad about the holes. Don’t be like that hole-drilling maniac!
Well that’s a bummer. I wish the one I found was the new one. It is hard for Google to translate Russian. I wish Ed would make a moderator for the 22 and 25 but after nearly a year of waiting for the Lelya I wouldn’t hold my breath for anything new from EDgun.
With all these minor changes that Ed is making on the .30 and Lelya moderators, I wonder if the new shipment of R3M .22 and .25 will all share the eccentric design?

I think you are right, and likely some of his “shortness of answers” and sometimes perceived smart ass remarks, etc. are more of a language issue really… Hard enough to translate the language, even harder to translate and convey emotion with a keyboard and especially one that is being translated at the same time… Wish I’d have gotten off to a better start with Ed and his guns… At some point, I’d still like to own one, I think, but shaky marketing ability regardless of who/why/where, is what would keep me from buying new, and so far has kept me from buying used… only time will tell if these guns are ever to keep up and compete with this rapidly evolving PCP (and especially bull pup) market.
