Q:

2015 Lelya Pics?

Does anyone even know what the new Lelya’s look like? I’m referring to the one with the non-centric shroud. Some of us have been waiting for close to a year but have yet to see what might arrive in the next shipment.

Hoot on the other hand has been waiting for a century so I’m glad he got his.

The pics keyser soze posted are NOT of the new Lelya.

Here is another pic a member of the russian forum posted. Notice how the shroud has not vent holes and it has the same design of the eccentric moderator on the 2015 R3 .30 cal. In this post the person seems to be saying the the moderator holes were not lined up.

The Lelya that KS posted can’t be stock, can it? Looks like a lot of mods already. Larger moderator, reservoir extender and different (original) rail with pellet holder. Looks cool but did Edgun equip all those mods?

Someone on the Russian forum got their Lelya yesterday and posted this pic.

FINALLY!!! After all these years and posts, he decided to put more vents in that shroud….

These vents reduce the air pressure against the baffles. Less air pressure to be slowed by the baffles, equals less sound emitted from the muzzle. An adequate number of properly placed vents can produce the sound reducing effect of a much larger shroud. The Colibri does the same thing, one vent between each baffle. It’s amazing how effective this can be, if not over done. I’ll bet this Leyla is whisper quiet!

PS: I’m liking that pellet holder on the picatinny rail. I wonder how one gets his hands on such a thing? How come the Russians are smart enough to come up with this stuff…it’s downright un-American!!! 😳

Dear Mr. Fudge,

Trust me when I tell you its’ worth the wait!

It’s the only gun I shoot now. I “humanely relocated” a possum this week. He had been digging up my wife’s flower beds, and there was anger and angst…plus a sizable ration of shit given to me, demanding that I stop the intrusion into her flowers!

I found him digging, and within minutes the possum developed a severe headache. It was Tuesday I believe, and I had to help him over to another wooded lot to recover. He seemed to be resting quietly when I left him for the coyotes to attend to his sorry ass.

With the old shroud the Leyla is very quiet. With the screw-on ldc it is downright silent. Only hammer slap and impact. The new eccentric should equal the volume of both the old shroud and attachment, so I believe you will be pleasantly surprised at the sound level.

As to me waiting 100 years, that’s a bit much…it’s only been seven years since I first saw one and wanted to possess it. I’ve been married 48 years this June 17th. My wife, the one who shovels me my daily ration of shit, day after day, year after miserable unending year…anyway she said “Can you believe we’ve been together for 50 years!” (we dated two years before marriage) and I replied “It seems much longer!” She wasn’t amused.

All this wait will seem like unnecessary torture after the gun arrives. You will still be pissed about it for months to come, but at least you will have a gun to shoot!

Kind regards,

Uncle Hoot:
