Q:

.22 or .25? Need help deciding.

Hello everyone, my name is Manny.

This is my first post here & would like to ask you guys for any thoughts, info, suggestions about the AF rifles.

I’m planning on using the rifle for plinking, target practice, pest control.

So, here are my ?s.

1. Rifle —— Im leaning towards the Talon SS for its compact size

2. Caliber —– Im want a .22 at least, or .25 is the way to go? Any suggestiongs?

3. Accessories ——What are the basic items needed to start shooting off once I get the rifle?

Any suggestions, advice will be greatly appreciated. thank you.

The scuba shop should have a oring that will fit, you need to ask for a oring for a din fitting or din regulator, and a get a couple extra, or call Joe and he can tell you the size of the oring, then go to the hardware store and they will have one.

Bring the fill hose with you.

I think so, cant find it anywhere.

Just got the tank on wenesday. got it out of the box to check it out & put it back in. I got the tank filled up last night. The guy at the scuba store took it out of the box, together with the hose assembly. So, somewhere from day one when I got it, the oring must’ve felt off.

Ill go looking for one tomorrow. need to do some searching on joe’s website to get an idea on what to look for.

Or, you blew a safety disk… call Joe right now. He’s a master at customer relations and he will help despite your probably having screwed something up…

Yes they should have one.

Did you loose the oring?

You need to unloosen the fitting and check to see that there is a oring in place and then hand tighten the fitting into the valve, the noise you are hearing is because the oring is not there or not seated in place, you are just wasting air.

yuo were right,

dang it. I looked everywhere in the box, wraps & plastic bag, nada 😥

can I get an oring at the local hardware store?

same concept and function, just in different places is all.

you are good to go on a fill 😉

your hose assembly is different than mine, yours have the gauge on the hose, mine is attached to the tank. does it matter?

You’re not missing anything, the big gage is the one that you watch as you’re Slowly oping up the valve. that one will tell you what you have in your a/f tank.
just remember to open the valve Slow and let the pressure build up Slowly to around 2800 lbs in the a/f tank

What are you missing???? I dont see what you’re talking about.
