I’m planning on using the rifle for plinking, target practice, pest control.

So, here are my ?s.

1. Rifle —— Im leaning towards the Talon SS for its compact size

2. Caliber —– Im want a .22 at least, or .25 is the way to go? Any suggestiongs?

3. Accessories ——What are the basic items needed to start shooting off once I get the rifle?

Any suggestions, advice will be greatly appreciated. thank you.

OK. Heading back home from work.

I’ll. Be taking some pics of the setup..

almost sounds like filling might have been stopped before it started…

How long and far did you open the valve before shutting down?

Have you tried the advice above? For a new guy to this, low shots due to valve lock might be hard to tell from low shots due to low pressure in the gun’s tank. If you went and shot, tell us everything you saw, heard etc…

I don’t know if Joe tests every single gauge but he uses good stuff so the odds of a bad gauge are low…not zero, but low.

If you started at 4200 in the CF tank and still have 4100 or so left, I’m thinking you didn’t overfill your gun. If you actually started with say 4500 and the 4200 was noted after this fill attempt, you may have overfilled… Remote troubleshooting is easily screwed by a missing or wrong detail.

So, what’s the current status?

I’m worried the tank is over filled as well…..

if it is then place a dime in the bottle adaptor and slowly crank it on the bottle till it starts bleeding off

I think I figured it out. The gauge on your tank is showing how much pressure is in your supply tank, (4100) not your bottle. The gauge on the fill whip will tell you how much air is in your bottle.

Go shoot the rifle about 30 times.

Go back and hook up your bottle to your tank.

With the bleed screw closed, very slowly gas your bottle back up to say, 2500 psi on the BIG gauge.

Shut off the main valve on the tank.

Slowly open the bleed screw.

Thant’s how it’s done.

Guys, am I the only one who thinks he may have over charged his A.F. tank? I would like to think the burst disc would of popped before that? You’ve got a guage to show the Psi in your charging tank. You need another one to show how much is going into your A.F. tank. OR, get a high quality regulator and set it where you want it.

that doesn’t show me much, too many different setups there…

upload some pics or a vid of your set up and what you’re doing wile filling the tank

ok, here is the tank i have,

http://www.network54.com/Forum/79574/message/1329397965/%2440+Off+97+CuFt+GREAT+WHITE+Carbon+Fiber+Tank+Combo+Package+%26amp%3B+%2439+on+

check the great white, thats what i got with same gauges on the the pics there.

The little gauge on my tank shows 4100 ish PSI.

this is what I am puzzled about it.

the big gauge was not showing how the pressure was going in the condor’s tank. So I stopped right away.

Im trying to figure out why & what am I missing.

๐Ÿ˜ฅ

I donโ€™t know about everyone else following this thread, but Iโ€™m a little lost and concerned for safety. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Your carbon tank should be 4200psi-ish. You SHOULDNโ€™T have 4200psi in your bottle. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

I would suggest the first thing to do, is to bleed off the bottle. Down to zip.

Ditto on GTBJ. Take some pics. Video would be even better. :thumb:

is there a regulator type valve between the big tank and the a/f tank, if so this may need to be adjusted…

it would be best if you could post some pics of your filling set up so maybe we can see what’s going on…

if you’re playing with 4200 ibs then Be Careful!!!! you may have a bad gage and running that pressure into you a/f tank… is the a/f shooting full power shots??? if not, that would be one way of letting you know there is too much air in the tank

the carbon fiber tanks show pressure at 4200.

I feel like something is missing.

I hope my carbon fiber tank got filled up with the right air. Im clueless at the momment. ๐Ÿ™

* sonic…. SUBsonic would be below the speed of sound ๐Ÿ˜‰

My bad. I meant to say supersonic. ๐Ÿ˜‰

* sonic…. SUBsonic would be below the speed of sound ๐Ÿ˜‰

quote THUNDER74:

yesterday when i filled up the condor tank. the needle from the big gauge on the tank hardly moved. I though that gauge is supposed to tell me how much air im filling up the condors tank with. So what am I missing? How can i track how much air im putting in the guns tank?

Help please.

That is exactly how it should work, you may only have so much air in your big tank. if the gage only went up to say 2300lbs then you only have 2300lbs in your tank
