264 yard condor groups…..
dont pay attention to the stray shots they were me sighting it in and getting used to the distance…. the middle is the real group…

not bad for first 200+ yard shoot… ive been wanting to shoot this distance for awile and i finally got around to it…

Now thatβs a good pair of binoculars to be able to see a pellet hole at 260 yards.
I own two pairs of top of the line, German made binoculars and canβt see a pellet size hole at 100 yards with either of them. I have to use a spotting scope.
yes the center shots were all cosecutive because once i found the correct hol over it was easy cause of the gun clamp.
You are effectively saying you can shoot a 8 to 10 shot group at 2″ ctc at 300 yards with this statement…
Then you state this:
Which is it really?
Or are you willing to restate your op as saying you got close to a 12″-15″ 25 shot group at 300 yards on a still day (which is what the target shows when scaled up so the ‘1’ ring is 3.75″ in diameter and the inside group is 2″ ctc).
There is a HUGE difference between 12″ and 2″ at 300 yards…
How can you not think that people won’t question the 2″ consecutive group? π
Next time get on target, swap out the sight in target for a new one, shoot five to ten shots and repeat. I’d really like to see how your rifle is doing in that situation. And then set it up for the slugs and prepare to be even more impressed!
how i overcame this issue is with a gun clamp setting it to were i want through the scope looking at the target and firing i watch with binoculars were pellet hits then i adjust from there it works if u know how to act as spotter..that mainly how i overcame the scope issue…
Using chairgun and isnipe, there isnt a reticle you can even get an aimpoint at 264 yards with a 6-24 power scope. All of the pellets are out of the scope even at 6x.
Thats with the pellet and velocity you described.
Im not saying your full of it, but you need to describe how you overcame this issue.
ok this is not wat i was looking for wen i created this topic i was trying to show the forum a “lucky group” out of hundreds ive done and now this is wat has come of it… its not even that great outa all the shots on that target only some went through the center and all the rest were all over the place and these just happened to hit center… i was just happy with hitting the paper at this distance… next time i will take photo or video of my range… it just is a lucky group nothin else i couldnt replicate it even if i tried… im not that good of a shot it is just a one in a 100 group and there not even all center…if i were to say… all my shots i took went through the center then i would be a liar… but they didnt they hit all around the paper and not to mention all the pellets that hit the backstop behind it…that group u see in my pic is the result of 40+ shots at one target thus creating the hole in the center… only about 8 outa 40 went through the center all the rest hit every were else…. idk wat else to say…
Sorry but, i agree with SYNOP. I have a feeling ALL THOSE SHOTS on the paper is the GROUP. The one thing SYNOP is missing though is, a pic of that future group will not be enough, you will have to provide a very CLEAR and DECISIVE video of that feat.
If that group is legit, AND OF COURSE YOU NEED “GOOD” PROOF, you have a world record group for airguns. You have just shot a SUB MOA group with a condor no doubt. And 264 yards is closer to 300 than to 200 yards so that makes the group that much more “INCREDIBLE”.
I was looking at you tube for 300 yard groups with an airwolf and this vid came up. I laughed at the end when i saw the scope cover on the gun and the guy just shot the gun seconds before the camera zooms back to video tape him. I mean COME ON GUYS……………REALLY? Its things like scope covers being on even though the last shot just went off, and shooting 328 yards with an airgun topped with a 1x Red Dot scope, unless it was BAD EDITING which it could have been. But the point is Disbelief comes from things that just don’t look/sound right in the presentation. Can an airgun shoot to 300 meters……hell yes it can with power to spare? Can one shoot 264 yards and make a 2″ group? Well, that’s HIGHLY DEBATABLE

not bad for first 200+ yard shoot… ive been wanting to shoot this distance for awile and i finally got around to it…
YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT π
The Daystate groups are all over the place, nothing like ten or so shots in 2″… More like five to ten shots all over an 8×11 piece of paper. That is an 8″ to 11″ group at best.
I was just wondering if you did the calcs in chairgun and what it said if you had…
So really all the shots are the group? That would certainly make more sense and follow the other video evidence on youtube.
You certainly can’t control what people believe but there is a bunch of information that would make it more believable…
2″ groups at 300 yards is under one moa for that distance, you have to understand this is world record type shooting for an airgun and a Condor no less.
If you don’t understand why people don’t believe you and you start the “if u believe me u believe me i cant control that…” stuff. Then your hiding something, you HAVE to expect a BUNCH of questions and SERIOUS doubts for this kind of shooting at this distance. Any reasonable person will question a 2″ more than five shot group at 300 yards when you HAVE NOT posted ANY proof to back up your words… (That target is not proof if you claim the group is only the ones at the very center).
If you can get 2″ 8-10 shot groups at 300 yards I want to see a clean piece of paper with an under 1/2″ 5-10 shot group at 100 yards… You should be able to shoot these all day long with your eyes closed.
If all the shots on the target reflect your group then the whole thing is far more believable. You do understand this right?
Fliers inside a 2″ circle at 300 yards are NOT flyers for that group… Flyers are the shots at the edge and the outside of the circles in your group.
Closest group to this I can find is a 7″+ at 300 yards from 25 cal BSA with the same pellets your shooting… Minus a ‘flyer’ the three shot group is 3.6″ but the flyer is still part of the grouping.
So if your shooting a couple at the center and then a few 3″ to 5″ away from center and then a couple more at the center, that is believable. But that is not what you said.
i know im not on my pnone anymore it was just that one post on my iphone dum thing changes my words i type fork it changes it to for u see wat im saying??? i dont ever usually post from a phone but yes i agree shouldnt use that as an excuse for my bad spelling… and yes im sure it wasnt 300feet… it was at a marked range for 300 yards and i put the targets at 264 yards… wat people arnt getting is this isnt my first try and i got this group… it took 10 different targets and 5 hours at the range… and i had a gun clamp… u know how long it took to get this group??? i didnt use chairgun for this one… i wanted to try it by shooting saw were it went shoot again see were it went and eventually i got it to hit the center and then after that i had to go through 8 more targets and this was the best one… srry if u guys dont believe but it is possible with time and a gun clamp and perfect weather… i also weighed and washed the pellets to make sure there was no flyers (which there still were) anybody could this if they wanted to…. go on youtube and type in daystate airwolf 300+ yard group… (i know an airwolf is better at accuracy) Confirmed by a range finder and he gets better group than me without gun clamp… i think the video is still on there but idk its been i couple years since i saw it.. there probally another on if that ones gone but idk…. but this is all i can really say… if u believe me u believe me i cant control that…
Thanks,
Cole
2″ is a good 300 yard group for a powder burner. Sure they are not the same but it’s pretty hard to believe this claim at face value…
The Hawke reticle has eight mildots from top to bottom with nine half mildot dashes. If you count the full length of the reticle it’s 10 mildots high. π 8-10 mildot holdover is possible on this scope.
What does chairgun show as a bc for this pellet and what is the calculated holdover (and projected drop) for the velocity?
Are you running a canted scope mount and are you using all the clicks to compensate for the elevation drop?
Are you sure you don’t mean 300 feet? π π π
PS, I don’t buy the ‘on the phone’ spelling stuff, what the phone won’t let you correct your misspellings? π Or is it just a convenient excuse for not giving a shit? Get a blackberry with a full button keyboard if your going to post from your phone. π
and srry about spelling its done on my phone cant see the letters all to well… i meant opinion at the end there..
um ok… i know it doesnt have that many mil dots i took a guess about how many it would be if it went that high… and there was no wind and temp was a perfect 82 … so no variables to worry about and once i got the hold over down with the gun clamp u can do it… i meen if there was wind or a high heat level then yes it poi would vary alot.. but it didnt and its not that f’in hard to do this on a calm nice weather day with a gun clamp… i meen if i stated i did it offhand or even with a bipod i would call bullshit on myself… but if u choose to take that oppion than that all u … im not gonna complain..
Well that is interesting.
The Hawke 6×24 does not have 8 to 12 mildots. It has 4 and slashes for half mildots if you have the newer model.
I doubt you can zero to that range because the scope only has 62 minutes of elevation. .
But the consecutive shots into the x ring once you got the range with your clamp is where it all went to hell with me, that is pure bullshit.
I have changed my mind about your post.
Your either full of bull shit or you need a range finder.
Might try a spelling check of some sort while your at it.

it was the .25, 25.4gr jsb’s, 3000psi start fill, fps i had at 945 (this was with my tank with the oring..) i used my hawk sidewinder 30… 6-24×56, mil-dot reticle. holdover was like 8 to 12 dots or somthing i didnt record that should have just didnt..
RiffRaff:
yes the center shots were all cosecutive because once i found the correct hol over it was easy cause of the gun clamp.
i will try to get back to this distance so i can try some 10 shot groups and this time no gun clamp see wat happens then π

I have to say the theory is sound. I use a vice mounted to my table to zero most of my rifles. Lock gun in vise fire 2 rounds move scope to impact fire to more rounds. Done. ( Also I use this method for figuring out my hold over under)
With that said I can fire some really impressive groups at 25 – 150yds. But never would I say I shot this group with out video or at least all my facts being straight and ready to take some heat.
But back to your setup. Your gun is mounted firm in a clamp so you are not shooting these groups in my opinion, But you are merely squeezing the trigger. Like I said the theory is sound, But after being around the world 3 times,
I’ll have to call this BS. Simple cause you step on your on dick to many times while trying to explain yourself.
