264 yard condor groups…..
dont pay attention to the stray shots they were me sighting it in and getting used to the distance…. the middle is the real group…

not bad for first 200+ yard shoot… ive been wanting to shoot this distance for awile and i finally got around to it…

Had it been 270 yards I might be impressed, but 264? That’s just not hard to do 😆
I’m not getting into this one. Last time Someone said their CZ was a one hole gun I said mine wont shoot like that, and I got jumped 😀 😀 I was told I had a crappy gun 😀 So I’m not wanting to let my array of Airguns be called crappy just because I don’t have a gun clamp LOLOL.
Colster, my question was genuine. I was trying to make sure i understood what you were saying.
To make things less confusing on the next group that you do, I would simply like to see that done again with only like 5 or 10 shots total on the target for a group. Either call it a 5 or 6 or 10 or 12 shot group and let those be the only holes in the paper.
I’ve made some good shots myself at long distances and i know airguns can be amazing out far. I would love to shoot a great group at 150-200 yrds one day but i would have to move to another state as CALI is always breezy were i shoot. But i will occasionally set up a water bottle or something like that at 200 yards and knock it clean over. I’ve just never shoot a group that far yet.
I doubt anybody would have even questioned it if you presented it different.
Something like, “Hey check out this target at 264 yards from my gun clamp in perfect conditions. Nice cluster in the center eh”?
My questions about this target:
Were all those in the center consecutive shots?
Or were they the ones that hit the X ring out of 20-30 shots?
Either way, I am impressed you smacked the X that many times.
WOW 😯
Was that the .25 or .22 project rifle ❓
What pellet, fill PSI, FPS, Scope, Reticle and holdover ❓
That is simply amazing, great shooting ❗
Colster,
I have a 50 yard zero with my Hawk 6×24 on my Condor, I get good accuracy at 1060fps and Kings and I need 380 Clicks with a 50 yard zero, to be on at 260.
Problem is I can only go up 90 clicks on my scope, because I do not have a droop mount, even with one I am assuming you used a hold over reference point.
I can zero out to 140 yards without the droop mount, and would still only get to 235 yards before I run out of reticle with my sr12. If I use a droop mount and or shims and I can get 200 yard zero, I will be on if I use the bottom duplex on 6 power.
If I can get the accuracy I want from my 52 grain cast bullets, it would be far easier.
If that was the only target you shot of the day and you were claiming you shot a 2 inch group after putting those other holes in the target to zero, I would call bullshit, but that is not my understanding of what you are saying.
What you are saying, is that you got a 267 yard zero on a windless day.
You shot several targets.
Sorting thru those targets to get the one with the most shots into the bullseye, the target posted was selected.
Yes I believe it is possible.

im saying the center hits like u said are luck of the draw and yes it was on a dead calm day…. i know my scope quite well and can range est. with it… i also whent through 8 targets before this one to find out the pricise hold over to shoot at… it took awile but it is possible since i did it yesterday… and the backstop was loose dirt so i could track were i was hitting and adjust my gun clamp for it.
Well guys, first of all it looks to me to be a 6 inch bull from a “shoot and see target”. And he admits to throwing out the flyers when he says to ignor the shots off the target.
If we are claiming hits in the the entire center of 5 or 6 inches, and the center hits being the luck of the draw, I can buy this, if you are saying just the center hits in the x ring, the twoinch group, perhaps a bit hard to swallow
I had a 1100 yard range on my property for 13 years, I shot everything from a Sharps Borschardt target rifle to a SR 25 at it over the years. And a long the way won some long range Oregon titles in 1000 yard shoting with those Sharps rifles, which had at timesin excess of 1100 inches of drop with a 200 yard zero.
So I have had considerable experience at launching projectiles at uber ranges.
I believe it is possible to shoot a group like that at that range, and the poster does say to ignor the shots off the bull.
The difficulty is getting them zeroed at that range, you need prescise hold over information, a scope you can dial in, or reference points for holdover. More importantly you need good background media, loose dirt or a hell of a big target back stop to see, and track your shot groups onto the target.
All this we have with Chairgun and our finer scopes.
You also are well served if you have a dead calm day.
Can this be done in one single day of shooting, perhaps.
I am in no hurry to label this as bullshit and I am convinced if I tethered my Ranger 45 I could shoot a group like that, the one taking in all the scoring rings, if I had the luxury of throwing out the flyers that land off the target and onto the backstop.
And that is without a gun clamp.
Harry from OZ posts groups similiar to these at times.

I don’t like calling anyone a liar so I won’t. Can you please tell me what pellets you used and at what speeds…I have not even managed a group like that at 100 yards yet I out shot every recruit but one in my series on Paris Island in 87 sooooooooooooo I need to practice some more, I guess?
u guys can comment however u like its real…read my other comments about the targets and stuff….. on youtube there are videos of people shotting airguns 300+ yards… theres one of an air wolf (i know its an airwolf not a condor) 350+ yards confirmed with a range finder..

not bad for first 200+ yard shoot… ive been wanting to shoot this distance for awile and i finally got around to it…
BULL
the target is decieving i knew this would happen its about 2inch group its hard but this is one outa 10 targets this was the best i could get and it wasnt even that good… i found how high i had to aim and the windage and then i tightened my gun clamp and shot it was easier with that… u can try it,, its possible with a gun clamp..
I can see if it was 200 feet but 200 yards idk? I can do this with a 6.5 grendel or 308 but a condor?? I don’t even think the most expensive airguns can group this well.
OK COLSTER….let me see if i got this right. That center group is ROUGHLY what……….1 inch or 1-1/4″ right? And your condor did that at 264 yards perfectly centered?

Yep, hard to “ignore” the shots out side the bullseye area… Nice shooting even with all the shots considered for almost 300 yards on a new to you rifle. 😉
