308 Corsair
I’m thinking about getting one, whats the pros and cons on this rifle, does anyone have any experiance with this gun? Any info or ideas welcomed and also if any knowledge, what kind or ammo works best. How does it compare to the Jack Haley model. The one thing I do not like is the stock I can say that much now.

My bullet design was a complete flop, ya it flopped right over and enterred target backwards, unless I would want a tumbler.
I tuned my down cause it was using, 900 # of air anywhere under 3000psi. It is good on accuracy too, so I think you’ll be happy, I wish I had a big bore bob’s 58 cal then I think I would stop buying, but there is something about getting the new gun, testing it and then exzamining it that I get a big kick out of.

Have you shot these to see if they actually expand? just curious since low velocity of air gun compared to powder burners. looks cool!

My 100 grain bullets
Checked my pressure last night and I shot less air then I thought so the next shot would have been in the at least860 range. Ya I went from 3500 to 2750, on the three shots. I think it is good to go.
O.K. you jags, pumped up to 3500 yesterday, chrony # for three shots, 880.2—892.9—865.6, 100 grn. I have a hunch the next shot would be around the 810 range. 27.33 fps. diff. and 13.63 fps. ave.

I’ve made an ldc for my 909s…its no different than one for say a condor just bigger…lost bigger you just need to provide enough room for the air to expand and slow down before it leaves the can…i’ll take some pictures of it if you want me too….Greg

On Mine the first and second shots are no louder than my condor 22 without a shroud,.
I think if it is too loud you might not be putting in enought air.
The first shot I can hear the spring hit. 😉
Oh and by the way No Deer yet, and if I do get lucky, I’ll always say I did it with my 30 caliber, for which I have three powder burners in 30 caliber 😯
I don’t know anyone who has did this and you will probably want a screw on, it is loud enough for ear protection. I see Nugler has one on his DAQ 308 pistol someone made, he is in the for sale section right now advertising it, you could pm him, now there is a weapon I would love to have, if I could come up with 1300 bones.

Yeah, its hard making a hardcast bullet into a hollow point unless you got some good machinery. With that .308 you could start casting your own slugs. Its fun too. And there is a guy that makes your mold into a custom HP maker. That’s exactly what i did to my mold for my JH457. When I’ve got about 3 molds coming for my .308 and the 150 gr mold is gonna become a HOLLOW POINT mold. Gonna have the guy design it to drop nice sized hollow point to about 140 grs.
