A Baby .177 Cricket is Born
I would like to thank Steve and the gang at WAGG for a safe delivery. 😆 I do have the cheek piece but forgot to pop it on for the first photos. Actual targets using both light and heavy JSBs were supplied and impressive along with shot string results. About 900 fps with the heavies and 955 fps with the lights. I was actually looking to tune it to exactly 900 fps with the heavies. Too cool.

Congrats SECoda, that is awesome !!!!! I want one so bad but need something different for air supply, other than hand pump. Tank and compressor is about the same price as a new Cricket. My wife says I cant have both 👿 Would you be interested in adopting a 42 year old,Im house broke and will clean my room,I promise !!!! Look out my little sparrow friends.
There must be a place i can remove some plastic from, damn it. Maybe i just Swiss Cheese it all ! :confusedn:
Yeh I was shocked….
Not sure where it gets the weight from cause there ain’t much there. Maybe the butt pad is heavy. ???
Can any tell me why that long bolt and the round barrel nut are on The stock it goes through the pistol grip ? Seems like I can take that off too. That’s gotta be good for an oz or 2
I think Ernest or someone said for 900 fps with the Compact .177 to expect about 70 or so. It’s funny but it is the smallest bullpup I now have but with the highest shot count. 😯
Congrats! You must get a lot of shots for one fill.
I chronied a few shots w/o a scope and it is right 900-901 fps with the 10.34 JSBs (perfect for me but now I don’t need to tune it. :butkick: I still get to tweak the trigger although it is somewhat close and smooth too.
BTW – it is quieter than the .22 standard Cricket.
The Aeon scopes are shipping to us and they are much shorter and slightly lighter than the Hawkes so since it is shipped I will wait to decide which scope.
Hawke SW 8-32×56 17.10″
Aeon 10-40×56 14.75″
Well – i know i do !
WTF – ithought it would be solid polymere under the airtube (now come to think of it – of course it´s not since one can attach a Weaver rail under the fore stock with straight thru bolts and nuts) and in the butt-stock. Well – 9 oz with the mag holder plus weight savings with a CF shroud are close enough that 1 lb mark.

Nvm found it
I can remove the mag holder set up and that will drop it 9oz

Sir Ville
Not sure if you’ve seen the synthetic??? But they haven’t left much to remove… I went go install my rail. And I though the fore grip was sold. Well it’s not even close. It’s only about maybe 1/4″ thick where my rail is screwed on.
And the buttstock area is hollow too. I think the weight comes from the rare earth magnets and the mag holder
Anyone saw that post from here or the yellow where someone removed there’s and they had a picture?
It’s so tiny – are you sure it doesn’t need some breast feeding. 😯
I won’t be home till Friday but I did weigh it when I got it out and I’d wanna say it was over 7 maybe 7 lbs 3 or 4 ozs.
I can’t remember exactly for the life of me. I’m gonna re weigh it when I get home.
Make sure to attach it to your belt 😀
IDK but when i´m done with it it´ll weigh at least a pound less than in stock form. CF shroud and carefully executed tummy-tuck (remove excess polymere at right, invisible places) and voilá – mine will be called the Helium Edition. :ugeekn:
Official weight as it is in the picture is 5lb 8oz or 5.5lbs. 😉 TGAG says 5.7 lbs so it is close. What does the synthetic stock version weigh?

A couple more photos. I was just hugging it this evening watching TV together. 😆 The cats are jealous.
Cheek piece on. I like the wood grain on this one.
