Q:

A puff of air to the eye.

Feels like I’m at the optometrist when I shoot my Edgun. Which o-rings need replacing? And does Tony have more of these things? I’d like to have a few extras on hand.

Hi Mistman. Yes, the right size is 3 mm ID X 1 mm cross section X 5 mm OD. If you order some, try to get 75 duro hardness, on the shore A scale, or harder.

The new, harder ones, will last a lot longer. They will still need changed every once in a while. They have to handle all of the pressure when the gun fires.

Appreciate the prompt response.

Wouldnt Eurethane O-Rings with 90 Duro be better then.?
From the little I have read, they seems to have outstanding
wear and tear resistance at high temperatures and pressures.

If the reply is positive then we might as well try that as it would mean lesser maintenance.

Also would like to know if anyone has tried them ?
Am just trying to avoid the routine maintenance of having them changed on a periodic basis.

I have never swapped an O-Ring in the breech of the Condor/Talon for the last 3 years.
Just silicon lube them every quarter, thinking on those lines.

I too was facing the issue with the “puff of air on my face”
Hope the ones mentioned above are the exact match for the pellet probe ?

Was about to place the order, didnโ€™t wanna go wrong out there as the cost for shipping for me is gonna be more than the cost of the O-Rings.

Could you please confirm these O-Rings have addressed the leak around the pellet probe.
How many pellets have you fired post replacing the Pellet Probe O-Rings. ?

When I measured the sizes of the O-Rings which were taken off the pellet probe
they measured 5mm OD, 3mm ID and 1mm thickness.
The ones you have mentioned are also of the same size.

I was wondering how would it address the leak issue. ?
Your valuable inputs please.

The reason why I ask is there has been no wear and tear of the pellet probe O-Rings. I wanted to change them as it spits air on my face every pellet fired.

dvdrw, I only ordered 3mmx1mm o-rings for the probe. 50 pcs for 2.50 plus 2.00 shipping. I just checked he only ships within the us.

When they arrive please post the manufacturer’s name . Maybe he is european and can order from him directly. So many goodies on Ebay but nobody delivers to Europe ๐Ÿ™

Does the set you ordered cover for all the o-rings in Matador ?

I had a probe o-ring blow at 225 shots, I had lubed it with silicon on my 2nd fill. I replaced it with the ones that come with the gun, but I dont trust them, so I ordered 70 duro o-rings on e-bay.

Hi, Ted!

Silicone rings will not approach, only RUBBER.

Please explain …

Hello Loxic. I came back to your post to get the sizes of some of the O rings that I might need in the future. Do you have the size of the O ring that fits on the baffle? It is on the breech end and is around 20-22 mm X 1 mm, I think.

Thanks for the rest of the sizes but, I think that you missed that one.

Hi, Ted!

Perhaps, the sizes of rubber rings will help you…

The first size – the external diameter, the second size – a thickness. Silicone rings will not approach, only RUBBER.

I am sure Tony does have some spare o-ring too, he can send you some if needed. But if you need it quicker, someone here can send you a few to try or get them from ebay.com.

Mine still look good, I lube it from time to time to prevent wear ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

oldgoat and I are using 3mmX1mm as replacements… I thin they are 75 or
90 duro.. Harder than the ones that come with the gun…

The o-rings that I just removed from the pellet probe are definitely 3mm ID, 5mm OD. But, the replacement o-rings that came with my gun are 4mm ID, 6mm OD. They work just fine right now. But, I can’t speak for them long-term, nor can I comment as to which o-ring is the “true” and proper size.

Makes a case for a cover on those bullpups. Be a wise addon to have an actual cheekpiece that would offer eye protection.

just one of the reasons I hate bull pups ๐Ÿ™‚
