AGN ( The FX promoter Forum ) arr deleting post Again and again
I was looking through some post the other night on AGN (AoA-Nation) when I found a post that was so unbelievable I knew it would be deleted by the “Great Wendt” and crew at AGN. Micheal Wendt has his marching orders from his boss to remove any post that might expose the truth. The entire AGN mission statement should read “to promote FX at all costs”. I must hand it to them at AGN and AoA, they have done an amazing job at creating a buzz that will sell guns while removing bad press through the use of heavy moderation. The AGN forum has molded itself after the Stasi, whereas the protection of the State is more important than the truth. When a new product arrives we all see the usual players come out with their “new guns” posing just like regular Joes buying a new gun. The posts are all driven in one direction: promotion of sales. I have no problem with a business doing its best to be successful but to control a forum and pose as an information source and community of air-gunners is just wrong.
This OP purchased a gun, asked for a rush order, then was somehow blamed for the gun’s alleged poor performance because he asked for prompt shipping. OP reported to be a true lemon. He asked for his money back and instead was offered a return that included a 15% restocking fee. When he complained OP reported that he was now banned from purchasing from AoA again and given a refund.
I support the right of AoA to “fire” a customer, my issue is not with AoA or FX per se. My complaint is quite simply that AGN is a lie built upon a house of cards designed to push an agenda. I wonder how long this Democratic People’s Republic of AGN can continue? I wonder how many members over there are actually real customers. My only hope is that Abraham Lincoln’s quote proves to be correct, “You can fool all of the people some of time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of the time”.

I can see the writing on the wall, they’re gonna let the Impact fade and concentrate on their “new” and “improved” Crown. Then blame all problems on the Impact. You know, like when someone gets fired at work and the employees now have a scapegoat and blame everything on that person.
I joined in on a nasty Impact thread over on AGN with some questions and it does appear AGN has given up the ghost on the Impact or the moderators are all on vacation. I think the Impact wiped itself out. No posts have been deleted in a week. It seems with a few exceptions most Impacts require a total rework by Earnest to even function.

Oh sure – I was also banned for talking up the Mutant on one ID last year. I never even responded to anybody else but created a new thread and s nice description of why the Mutant was so great. It was large post (4-5 paragraphs) and they just couldn’t handle that. It made no mention of any other guns or brands. The claims were all true. It was deleted and my ID removed after less than an hour. :rofl:
He watches any new ID’s pretty closely. If they don’t sing the state-run songs they boot you. It reminds me of the Chinese Communist media. :angrymob:
That’s marketing, and it works. That’s why we gotta do shit like hit mofo golf balls and get out on youtube to garner attention. Zachary, the dude hitting the ball with his Edgun is puttin’ the word out for Edgun. But man, it’s hard to go up against big marketing. Big box stores trying to put the squeeze on the smaller stores. I call up TalonTunes with questions and guess what, Tony answers them. I called up Airguns of Arizona and hot damn, waited 45 mins to ask a question and was hurried off the phone. But in the end, big marketing will catch more attention, just like you describe Mike.
That’s why I like to try to post up here often. This site doesn’t get as much traffic. And when life-long members here chase newbies away…well, they’ll then find a home over at AGN. But we gotta keep conversations flowing over here to peak interest. I do think this place does well for its size though. And Tony is doing it alone as far as I can tell. You look at AGN and there are a shit ton of sponsors now. They’ve got he money and numbers to sway minds of potential buyers. It’s all a numbers game. It is a shame though, that as you say, soooo many people will drink the Kool-aid. Well, what can ya do when you get banned? Try not to get banned.
I’m not over at AGN to undermine them as I do find them useful to me. But like hell if I’m gonna do something to get myself in trouble, knowing that I want to be a beacon of light for other brands of airguns besides FX. Again, the only way to do so is to go along…without kissing ass, but just not losing your cool.
I do like it here, though at times you’ve gotta have thick skin. At least as a new member you do. I think once you’re accepted into the “brotherhood” then things get easier. But I love the non-censored atmosphere here. I LOVE being able to curse and not get reprimanded. That’s why I come here daily to see what’s new and what’s going on with you all boneheads. Just think of AGN as “The Matrix” and we here at TT are underground, in Zion, the desert of the real. I’d rather live in the real world than to live life as they see fit to tell us how to do so. Not everyone will have the chance to swallow the red pill.

I was accused of being a Mutant dealer, Then when I bought my Veteran 25 and was talking about it , I was banned.
I do really feel sorry for the guys that drank the Kool-Aid , Watch Matt, and Ted shoot the FX guns , Order an FX and its a shit gun.
Or even if they lucked out and got a good one , They paid way to much for what they got,
I do think 96% of the FX buyers watch a Ted video, go to AGN , And never do any research on any other guns.

Not so sure you get banned for talking up another brand as I be pimpin’ the shit outta Taipan over there, but when you down-talk their sponsors or fx then you get the banned. Or personally insult a mod or the owner. I’m not doing damage control but what makes this place better is not spreading more F.U.D.
I’m surprised mofo’s allow multiple new accounts. I remember when I was on the Polk Audio forum ten years ago they got hip and banned I.P. addresses. That way no new accounts could be made. I guess with the advent of VPN’s, that might not be feasible anymore? Fuck me running, I love my Taipan. :tag:
I think I am on my fourth ID over there from last year. lol They will ban you for talking up another brand as well if there is much interest in it. I was convinced that some of the shills were using multiple ID’s to control threads. They would chime in on themselves to overwhelm any opposition.
I’ve been away from the forums for a bit due to work and fishing. I did try to log on to AGN and am still banned. I don’t remember for sure, but I think I had more than a few bourbons and called Wendt something that he did not appreciate and commented on my customer (non) service from AoA.
