Q:

AGN ( The FX promoter Forum ) arr deleting post Again and again

I was looking through some post the other night on AGN (AoA-Nation) when I found a post that was so unbelievable I knew it would be deleted by the “Great Wendt” and crew at AGN. Micheal Wendt has his marching orders from his boss to remove any post that might expose the truth. The entire AGN mission statement should read “to promote FX at all costs”. I must hand it to them at AGN and AoA, they have done an amazing job at creating a buzz that will sell guns while removing bad press through the use of heavy moderation. The AGN forum has molded itself after the Stasi, whereas the protection of the State is more important than the truth. When a new product arrives we all see the usual players come out with their “new guns” posing just like regular Joes buying a new gun. The posts are all driven in one direction: promotion of sales. I have no problem with a business doing its best to be successful but to control a forum and pose as an information source and community of air-gunners is just wrong.

This OP purchased a gun, asked for a rush order, then was somehow blamed for the gun’s alleged poor performance because he asked for prompt shipping. OP reported to be a true lemon. He asked for his money back and instead was offered a return that included a 15% restocking fee. When he complained OP reported that he was now banned from purchasing from AoA again and given a refund.

I support the right of AoA to “fire” a customer, my issue is not with AoA or FX per se. My complaint is quite simply that AGN is a lie built upon a house of cards designed to push an agenda. I wonder how long this Democratic People’s Republic of AGN can continue? I wonder how many members over there are actually real customers. My only hope is that Abraham Lincoln’s quote proves to be correct, “You can fool all of the people some of time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of the time”.

Reminds me of the gamble one used to have to take with a .22 cal Marauder. I think it MIGHT be fixed now. But at least with the Marauder everyone knew you’d be good to go with the Green Mountain .25 cal model.

I think the resale value, in the UK anyway, will start dropping, as it will be hit/miss if you pick up a good one or not.

The only way I would part with that amount of money for one is if I was at the FX factory and watched the entire process of them making me one.

I believe FX swap their staff between products on a weekly basis so they don’t become like robots building the same thing all the time. Maybe they could trace back all the faulty ones to which group were working on them. Could be a pattern of them not following QC properly or just a shit group of workers on certain batches.

Either that or FX components have a high failure rate, 50/50 etc.

No way on earth I would just order one and hope for the best.

I don’t know about elsewhere but in the UK they are now allot of them for sale secondhand, I wonder why!!!!

It’s not just Impact, BAR sent their batch of Streamlines back as well and no longer stock them:

Local guys are also having lots of issues with their FX guns, especially the ST part of the barrel seems poor in many guns requiring polishing and what not. For the price FX has a poor show, I could understand it if it was Hatsan or Krale guns having these issues.

If my cheap ass was going to spend that much on an airgun, you’d better bet I’d work overtime in researching my potential purchase. A short amount of research would lead to your same conclusion. Hopefully there are some owners who are happy and have a functional item for their money. I don’t have much expendable earnings, hence I went with something that had about NIL negative reviews.

Hell, even at AGN all I see anymore are problems here, problems there and broken shit everywhere. I don’t know how much damage control they can keep pushing. Of course now the hard push is on the Crown. I’m gonna take a guess and say the marketing for the Impact will be non-existant in due time. Even Youtube is saturated with the Crown, and hopefully buyers don’t have to experience buyer’s remorse. I’d like to laugh at folks ‘n fanboi’s, but I can’t really when there is that much money at stake. But at the same time, by-gollie, people need to do better research.

That 90% return rate is hard to get around. These guns were released a long time ago.

I’ve seen all that a few months back. I wonder if newer ones are getting better. A few fanboi’s chimed in saying, “yeah, of course you’re gonna hear a lot more failures with the Impact because it’s THE most popular air gun and there are twice as many out there than any other air gun” and blah blah blah.

I know they can be good but I guess I’d look at it like a harbor freight item. Some things they sell can be gems if you put a little work into them. Not sure as I don’t own any FX items.

I never Googled on FX Impact problems but this kind of stuff is out there and in 2017. I never heard that non-US dealers discontinued it it was so bad. It appears that AGN and others pulled off quite a charade on their quality. Blackpool still won’t touch them. 90% return rate. Fredrick put his proverbial tit-in-the-ringer with this one. The folks talking FX up may want to rethink their positions. This is a big deal.

“FX Impact – major faults reported
Ohhhhhh Dear – looks like we have been getting kept in the dark about the scale of the problems with the FX Impact. If someone like BAR is taking to facebook to openly say they have a 90% return rate even after checking every gun prior to sale, then this has to qualify as one of the best marketing cover ups in ages – sorry if you have one, I hope it’s one of the 10% which work.

A real pity, I liked the gun, but with an apparent massive reliability problem and a top end price tag for now this is definitely off the shopping list till further notice.

This has been posted on the front of BARs – Blackpool Air Rifles Facebook page:

Well enough is enough … from today we are stopping stocking the FX Impact. Sad really as I love the looks .the handling and when they aren’t in the workshop being repaired the accuracy, but we simply cannot accept the ridiculous amounts of faults with them . We thought fixing them before they go out would cure most issues but the guns are still going wrong and when you have a 90% return ratio we have to face the fact…These guns are simply not saleable at the moment.
There is a glimmer of hope on the horizon. I have spoken to FX, they are working hard to resolve the issues and hence we may start to stock them again if we feel they truly have addressed the problems.
I know we are going against almost every review on Youtube and the magazines, every pundits advice and most gunshops and distributors glowing recommendations but …well you can come to your own conclusions .

Mike that’s right they can be made to shoot good only if it has a good barrel. Without that all the tuning in the world won’t do squat.

I think that Matt guy has a good shooting one also,
I also think Earnest has tuned a few, So that’s proof , They can be made to shoot good,
Way above my skill level ,
Mike

It’s not rocket science as to what’s going on. AGD poses a challenge to garner attention to their business. It gains momentum. Then an airgun they don’t even sell comes up and trumps the others that they do sell and then all the sudden everyone wants to buy an airgun they don’t carry. This may have backfired on them so like I said, I’m sure they’ve gotta employ someone to take me out, which oughtn’t be too hard but have not done so as of yet.

That had better not be the case as I do buy products from them. I get my pellets from their sister company, Pyramid Air. Though for some reason they won’t admit they are sisters. I make purchases from airgun depot and a box shows up from Pyramid Air.

I’m thinking AGD (also paid sponsor of AGN) is postponing moving my 250 yard golf ball shot video to the top of the leader board while they desperately recruit someone who doesn’t resemble one of their employees and giving them an FX Crown and desperately trying to hit a golf ball at 275 or longer. Then they’ll post that to their wall with my submission below it. :4:

Yup, what a shame.

Not to mention the below as well:
deleting or modifying posts is part if their mono-directional promotion/campaign.
what a shame…
I suggest that they kick out all of their members, and hire their own people that will be responsible only for fake accounts that speak positively about the brand, at least they will guarantee the perfect process flow and they will be worry free to control over the forum.

here’s another screenshot of A modified reply on a topic where the Mighty Ted tried to screw the EDgun Leshiy in a desperate review of it… by describing it a 30 meters gun
and off course introducing his sealed FX ( the only working one ) that remained for a quiet time under testing, choosing the right pellet/right settings etc…HOW SARCASTIC.

but you know what is more sarcastic ??
I will tell you,
AOA IS NOT THE ONLY PARTY BEHIND THIS SHOW
There’s a HUGE ONLINE STORE BEHIND IT………….. :biggrinn:

Ah btw try to comment negatively or in a way that could piss off Ted or BE REALISTIC in his new < holdover Vlog > comments box… and then POOOF your comment will be GONE
