I’m in business fellas!

Just got my trigger pack with a new heavy hammer and HST from John Hagan installed in my Gen 1 .30. First shots thru the crony with 50gr .30 was 857. NICE! :8: :8: :8: 44gr .30 are running 870-900. This is with my reg set at 130 and with that 4mm stem I had made up.

I certainly need to get a lot more shots over the crony and will probably back off the HST a bit but she is finally up and running. John did a great job on the hammer and the trigger is still very good.

Thanks again to John and KS   for helping get this done. The Gen 1 fix is in!

Regards,

DT

Ok i did want to leave this alone but i think is not fair for the other guys who have the same problem, Mr Edgun is crying about the amount of money John charged him….

Perfect! He is expecting that, thank you Ed!

280 USD?! Are you insane!? That is not how things should be done! What if he make the hammer of gold?! Yes, I pay it, but I consider that as framing me up!

Ed you got to understand John had to do a lot of testing on the gun, he spent several hours trying to figure out why the gun wouldn’t shoot pass 720fps, something you should have done before sending them out, its your own doing buddy!
On the bright side, like we all know my gun was the first one to be fixed, kinda like experimenting with it, im pretty sure John knows what to do now, it will be easier and faster to fix them.

Did i mention i spent almost $200 on shipping my gun trying to get it fixed!… so $280 is not too bad to spend on people that trusted you with $2000!!!!! :winkn:

Moving this to the proper post;

What is your official statement about fixing the Gen 1 guns?

I need a new hammer to go with my 3mm valve. You could have sent all of us Gen 1 guys new hammers and valve houses and it would have been done! You are still making them right?? I can’t remember how many times I asked you (privately) for a heavy hammer with no response.

We have been ignored so what do you expect Ed?

What are you willing to pay or do to make this right?

DT

The gen. 1 is not set for heavier hammer, it is not set for high speed. Mine is 260 m/sec and that is more then enough. So, if somebody want to get more he can do it on his own risk I will not pay for that. 2 mm rod is working OK with 1st gen. unless one is trying to get more energy of it.

I told you, privately, that heavier hammer is not suitable for 1st gen, you didn’t listen to me.

Yeah with the 2mm stem. I wouldn’t expect it to work with a heavy hammer and 2mm stem either.

Ed, Renvals gun, the one that has been fixed by John Hagan is the same as mine and is now shooting within 880 with the heavy hammer and 3mm valve stem. Have you tried this yourself by the way?

So what you are saying is there was never an issue with the Gen 1’s even though several have bent the valve stems (2mm) with the standard hammer. I shot the gun as set up by Edgun (regulator, hammer, and HST). Still bent the stems.

Sorry Ed but that is what is happening.

Ed i sent you a msg, can you confirm you got it? thank you.

Ed,

As you know us Gen 1 owners are getting upgraded to 3mm valves.

Why not make it easy for everyone and send out the heavy hammers which seem to be the more difficult item to make? We are getting this done either way but I am curious, being the moron that I am ( ), why you wouldn’t attempt to do this for the Gen 1 guys.

Thanks

DT

Ed i sent you a msg, can you confirm you got it? thank you.

John is making the 3mm valve stems as we speak. very talented dude!

OK, good to hear that!

John is making the 3mm valve stems as we speak. very talented dude!

But installing a new, heavier hammer in gen. 1 be sure that 2 mm. valve rod can not survive it. That is why I will replace gen. 2 with 3 mm. rod of the vavle.

That’s a master at work right there. Beautiful piece

That’s awesome stuff right there. :8: Amazing how stuff can get done when the right people get involved.
