Q:

Bandsaw

I went to Harbor Freight to check out the tumbler’s and came out with this on sale –

It barely fit my trunk and then was a b&%$h to get assembled…. Worse than the mill and lathe.

But its worth it not having to use a hacksaw or reciprocating saw and then spending ages cleaning stuff up in the lathe !

Hey YN!

Looks good. The blades they carry suck for any real cutting. They won’t cut out a full size blade here in the Lovett Shop with out a lot of slow going. They dull really fast! When you get ready for serious cutting, Order your self a Lenox Die Master blade for it. They have variable size teeth, and a flexible backing. I’ve been using one here in the shop for two years now without having to replace the blade! And it cuts many times faster, with less pressure. Making it a lot safer! And to top it off, the blades aren’t much higher than the crappy HF Blades.

i picked up one of those as well it sucks putting together especially by yourself those fing screws are to short that hold the saw to the base and trying to get those foldable legs to stay while you put the thing together sucks sure does beat the hacksaw though
